A quick glimpse in my life of fostering the growth of my family. Foster Care & Adoption. Our Journey to Adopt. July 6, 2012. July 6, 2012. I can mark this down as reason #1 I’m glad that I’m always behind the camera. I took these photos of the latest additions to our family playground and I’m very happy to have been on the back side of the camera. I would have hated for everyone to have seen me struggling to do a pull up or toes to the bar. Instead, Thomas demonstrated for me! What a kind guy! We also ne...

A quick glimpse in my life of fostering the growth of my family. Foster Care & Adoption. Our Journey to Adopt. April 25, 2012. I don’t know how I’ve missed this…but we have found the Breyer Stablemates books and Petra is in love with Penny. And I know I have seen the toys in the store, but it wasn’t until just now that I made the connection between the books and the toys. April 20, 2012. However, I have been searching for apps to use on our phone – something that I find educational, and the childre...

A quick glimpse in my life of fostering the growth of my family. Foster Care & Adoption. Our Journey to Adopt. I’m back, here’s an update on the family. February 25, 2015. February 25, 2015. I’ve been away for a while. It was on purpose. I was tired of everything being the same. I was waiting for a change in my life. It came. My heart is full. We have been blessed. The biggest changes in 2014 were that my husband graduated with his PhD in political science and I resigned from my job. Tot School Letter D.

A quick glimpse in my life of fostering the growth of my family. Foster Care & Adoption. Our Journey to Adopt. Yes, I’m attached. March 11, 2015. March 11, 2015. I could never do what you do; I would get too attached. This is what we hear. We hear it at the park, at school, and when we meet strangers on the street that eye us and ask about our diverse family. We even hear it from family, and dare I say, at church. Our response comes to a few simple points. 2) Stability through attachment is critical....

Growing Fruit: No Fear - Veronica Petrucci
http://growing-fruit.blogspot.com/2012/05/i-love-this-song.html
The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. Zechariah 8:12. Thursday, May 10, 2012. No Fear - Veronica Petrucci. I love this song. You know I gotta give this testimony. Growing up with fear was my story. Now I’m called… to share it all. Voices telling me I was worth nothing. That I never would amount to something. Not good enough… to be loved. How do u live with your head down to the ground. No fear, no fear, no fear.

Growing Fruit: What's Your Wire?
http://growing-fruit.blogspot.com/2013/07/whats-your-wire.html
The seed will grow well, the vine will yield its fruit, the ground will produce its crops, and the heavens will drop their dew. Zechariah 8:12. Tuesday, July 9, 2013. I watched with baited breath as Nik Wallenda crossed the grand canyon. It was crazy. And the whole time he focused on Jesus. I know that's what I'd do if I had that grand expanse below me. Here are a few things I noticed. His prayer was mostly praise! There was a time for rest even on that short walk. He had requests to God along the way (w...

Needlepoint Family Planning: May 2010
http://croomnfp.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 30, 2010. 4 Weeks, busy. On top of this, I'm dreaming up a new blog. So keep a lookout for a new and improved site. In the meantime, here are some more photos of the children. Petra loves to hold babies. The only problem is that the baby in our house is as big as she is. It didn't seem to matter much to either of them though. A few moments of "playa" at Coco Beach, FL. Gymnastics class - Petra on the beam and both of them working on their handstands. In Kissimmee, Florida with family. I find ...
Needlepoint Family Planning: Hope Continued
http://croomnfp.blogspot.com/2011/02/hope-continued.html
Sunday, February 13, 2011. I’ve stayed away; have you noticed? I had hoped that my next post on here would be an exciting announcement that I was pregnant again. I had also hoped this would take place before February 13, 2011 (today) - the due date of the pregnancy I miscarried. The story of how I feel about everything that is happening really started six years ago. But, this post is only going to be about the last year. My hope was failing. Despite this action plan, my hope was failing. I walked up to t...
Needlepoint Family Planning: 9 week update
http://croomnfp.blogspot.com/2010/07/9-week-update.html
Monday, July 12, 2010. I know there are many of you praying for us, and we really appreciate it. It is a wonderful thing to be able to pray for friend and I feel very loved. I forgot to weigh myself this morning, last time I checked I was up 1.5 lbs. I'm sure after the hamburger and the pizza I had this weekend I'm up some more. And today my belly is full and round - probably again because of the food. I'm in constant prayer that all goes well and the baby is healthy and strong. July 12, 2010 at 10:16 PM.

My case by case adventures of fostering animals in need. Friday, March 28, 2014. This little guy's a Trooper. Newest little guy - Trooper! I pulled this guy last week for the rescue I volunteer with from the county animal control. He had been found as a stray with these terrible wounds, and I couldn't stand to see him euthanized after enduring all that, so I agreed to foster him. Aptly named, "Trooper" has been a champ through all of his vet appointments and procedures/meds and treatment. This little fel...

This Beautiful Mess!!
I have had this dream since lunch.and I am not about to give up on it now! Michael Scott - Dunder Mifflin. Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Eva G is growing up. Look who is in Preschool now! Sometimes the hardest thing about being a momma is all of these milestones. Yes, they are important and exciting.but it is also a constant reminder that your little baby is growing up! And that I am not very excited about. I will admit, she had a great day. And I bawled like a little baby. Love you my sweet BIG girl!

Fostering Motherhood
Fritha's journey, my words. From Here to Fostering. Wednesday, 27 November 2013. The time has come. So that she will be all ready to welcome her foster children in the new year, Firtha has found herself a new flat. She needs to be all moved in and settled before she sits in front of 'The Panel' (whom we can only assume will include the prime minister and the chief of police in their number based on how strict the process has been so far), in March. Etc Fritha is not amused - "What about ME? To no one in ...
