Adventures in France

Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Camp Des Cimes 2010. I was so privileged to serve alongside these people. I also read a statistic, and tried to look up an actual source, but all I could find were unofficial estimates. All stated that France's population is less then 5% Protestant. No, they aren't what we would consider a 'developing' country, but that doesn't mean they don't need Jesus. Please say a prayer for France. Say a prayer for these kids. Thank you again, for reading! Short Update | Adventures in France

http://frenchadventure-lauren.blogspot.com/2010/07/short-update.html

Saturday, July 24, 2010. Hello internet world, friends, and supporters! I just wanted to write a quick post to let you know about a few things! 1) Yes, I am still alive. And I did in fact make it to France. As I'm sure you know, or have assumed by now :]. So, you must wait for all the details, I am sorry. 3) We only have 8 days left, including today. Which is crazy! Say a prayer for the relationships we are building with these campers,. That we would finish well, and leave a touch of His hand. I am not w...

Since I last posted, I've found some other fun resources and pages that you can visit if you want to know more about the staff I worked with, and the camps I helped with. If you would like to read about the staff, click here. If you would like to see the Camp Des Cimes facebook page, click here. There are some videos, and more pictures, and French you can try and read if you like. I'll try and post with pictures and video next time too :].

Youth Camp 2 | Adventures in France

http://frenchadventure-lauren.blogspot.com/2010/08/youth-camp-2.html

Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Ok So I cannot talk about Youth Camp, without talking abo. Ut the randonnee (. And A girl named Celine and I played the 'figure out who it was that just poked me with that piece of tickle-y grass' game. It was hilarious! What a joy to be, and give the chance to others to be, a five year old kid again. What freedom, and inhibition I was able to see, and know that she was allowing me to see it! And she loved it! It spread fast,. I will never forget the feeling of pure joy I had.

Home. | Adventures in France

http://frenchadventure-lauren.blogspot.com/2010/08/home.html

Monday, August 2, 2010. After about 20 hours of travel (with only one incident. don't leave your camping knife in your carry-on backpack), dinner at Cracker Barrel with my family, and sleeping in my own bed, I can finally say that I am home. In the last few years, I have called many places home. Wherever my friends and family are,. Quapaw, Oklahoma,. And now perhaps even La Rivoire, France. There is so much I have to tell you. So many wonderful and exciting things. Is it complete, or has it just begun?

Montana 2010: There & Back: Radical Cliffs

http://montana2010-joanna.blogspot.com/2010/07/radical-cliffs.html

Montana 2010: There and Back. Monday, July 19, 2010. Last night Courtney and I were invited to a Perea House meeting. We were running super late but God completely worked out the timing for us to get there slightly after people had started sharing about how their relationship with God had been going. My first thought. "Snap. I have to be vulnerable to people I have just met." And as you may know, this summer has been stretching me to be more and more vulnerable. to everyone! Will I choose to be radical f...

http://montana2010-joanna.blogspot.com/2010/07/4th-of-july.html

Montana 2010: There and Back. Wednesday, July 7, 2010. How grateful I am to be in America for the 4th of July! Us interns had a fantastic weekend filled with Osprey Baseball, hiking, hamburgers, fireworks in 3D, cookouts, rock band, farmer's market, Ghostbusters, a trip to a cabin and Garnet ghost town. Most importantly it was the loving people we were able to share those experiences with. Thank you all for the company, food, and laughter! Jaime, Me, Courtney, and Michelle at the Osprey game. http://montana2010-joanna.blogspot.com/2010/08/go-hard-or-go-home.html

Montana 2010: There and Back. Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Go Hard or Go Home. There are exactly 9 days left. 5 1/2 will be spent around the people I've grown to love this summer. The other 3 1/2 will be spent at debriefing - catching up with all of Western Montana's summer missionaries. Am I ready to leave? It's been awhile since I've updated so this could get long. Extreme Expedition: July 23-25. Unbelievable. All in all. the weekend was great! This is most of the group that was there. Friday, Courtney and...

Montana 2010: There & Back: Texas

http://montana2010-joanna.blogspot.com/2010/08/texas.html

Montana 2010: There and Back. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. So I'm back on Texas soil and have been for a week. Last Thursday night Andrew, my brother, invited me to run around Sunnyvale's track. My gratitude towards him is so great! Arrogance is what I will struggle with the most here in Texas. At least for the next few weeks. Not that He's destroyed by my comments- He's far greater and will not be affected by anything I do. Oh, how I love Him for that! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What God is doing.

http://montana2010-joanna.blogspot.com/2010/07/surrender.html

Montana 2010: There and Back. Saturday, July 3, 2010. It's been July for two days now. Whoa. Cray cray (crazy if you will). I can't believe it. Early this week I was able to talk with a sweet friend from TAMU's BSM, Rebecca. It was so good to hear "y'all" used a billion times! Thank you for the encouragement friend! This week has gone by like a light year! And it has been an odd one too- full of ups and downs. Courtney and I were able to hang out with Jaime twice. She is such a fun girl! Trusting, servin...

Montana 2010: There and Back. Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Today is officially my last day in Missoula, MT. At least for a while. Hopefully. Since Sunday night we've been back at Convergence. where this crazy summer all started. for debriefing. Although I have loved seeing the other Montanan summer missionaries and hearing their stories, it's been a struggle. Well, Montana. it's been beautiful. Montana 2010: There & Back: My Heart Is Exploding

http://montana2010-joanna.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-heart-is-exploding.html

Montana 2010: There and Back. Thursday, July 15, 2010. My Heart Is Exploding. That statement sums all that I'm feeling and thinking. This past weekend, the interns were treated to a trip to Yellowstone by Mark and Sacha. John, David, Micah, and Sooie joined us as well. What a weekend for renewal and God to work in crazy ways that only He can! I can wholeheartedly say that my heart has been completely captured by Montana, the people here and the creation that surrounds them. I can't get over it. I jus...

Wright's french adventure

Subscribe to this blog's feed. The following day we hired a boat for a day and sped across to the more well known island of Hvar.  What a beautiful place, the Venetian influence was strong in the buildings and because there were clearly more moneyed tourists around the produce, restaurants and shops around were fantastic.  . The rest of the time we just lay by our pool, swam in the sea and kayaked around the bay we were in.  Blissful! Posted at 11:30 PM. Posted at 10:35 PM. 0160; I just hope she likes it...

Comments, views and photographs from Phyllida and Victor's three month adventure in France in their new motorhome Summer 2010. Sunday, 29 August 2010. Bubbly, Vimy and Blighty! But we have the story to complete since the last blog and there are tales worth telling. As was our absent host at our France Passion that evening, but he had given us permission to park in his walled car park opposite his home. As this was in between two champagne producers we felt very much at home! And the following morning dro...

Saturday, 6 August 2011. Just a brief and final blog to report in as back in Norwich safe and well, and once I find homes for everything we brought back, we should be back to some level of normality! This we found in a farmyard in a delightful village some 20 minutes drive west of Calais. A really good decision as it turned out, for the view was pretty and the home-made ice-cream and fresh milk bought from the farmer’s shop were totally delicious and we bought four tubs home! And just a couple of little ...
