I know my way around, the driving doesnt bother me anymore, the girls are at school and doing tennis and horseriding as their wednesday activities and Im trying to have conversations with actual french people outside of the market and restaurants! 0160;This is where the moving to a foreign country thing is a real pain. The next day my french teacher explained that at this time of year the postman (le facteur), the fireman (le pompier) and the rubbish men (les éboueurs) come around to collect their christmas bonus (les etrennes) from the people they provide services to. On Tuesday the girls were at home because of a teachers strike (seems to be a relatively frequent occurrence here) but it was great as it snowed all day. When it first started we all rushed outside and danced around in the swirling flakes and tried to catch them on our tongues - fun although the girls kept complaining that the snow was getting in their eyes!
