French Adventure 2010: Tasting the Wine
http://frenchadventure2010.blogspot.com/2010/08/tasting-wine.html
Comments, views and photographs from Phyllida and Victor's three month adventure in France in their new motorhome Summer 2010. Saturday, 14 August 2010. We had a smooth, if long and tedious, journey from the Creuse region to the Macon area last Monday, taking in a memorable picnic lunch just above Montluçon with a view of the city to die for! We had two nights of France Passion night stops to look forward to, both in vineyards (where else would you stay when in Macon and Bourgogne? We enjoyed tasting the...
French Adventure 2010: Surrounded by History

Comments, views and photographs from Phyllida and Victor's three month adventure in France in their new motorhome Summer 2010. Sunday, 25 July 2010. I can honestly say that the hot starter of goose liver was one of the most delicious plates of food I have ever had! So, since Thursday evening we have been at this site, Le Grandes Chenes (the large oaks), a French run family site boasting ‘designer buildings’, reminding us of the sets in The Flintstones, with bulbous cement walls and porthole w...Sadly, th...

Today, after three days of biting our nails down to the quick, we learnt that the garage are confident they can patch her up to make her roadworthy by next Thursday. That gives us one day to load her up and then hopefully we are back on schedule! Sunday, 23 May 2010. Thursday, 20 May 2010. Two weeks to go. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Two weeks to go.
French Adventure 2010: Mixing with the locals in beautiful Dordogne

Comments, views and photographs from Phyllida and Victor's three month adventure in France in their new motorhome Summer 2010. Monday, 2 August 2010. Mixing with the locals in beautiful Dordogne. Eight days since our last blog, so apologies to our regular followers, but the last campsite did not have access to the internet, “no wee-fee”, as they put it! It is a relief to discover that our latest place – Creuse Nature, has free wee-fee which is accessible at the van! We watched amused, as the French famil...

http://frenchadventure2010.blogspot.com/2010/08/family-fun-in-sun.html
Comments, views and photographs from Phyllida and Victor's three month adventure in France in their new motorhome Summer 2010. Sunday, 8 August 2010. Family Fun in the Sun! Day One: We arrive at 2pm tired and anxious to set up before the rain sets in. Reception is closed until three. Luckily they offer us a free welcome drink in the bar. When we do finally drive onto the assigned pitch, we are suddenly surrounded by four or five Dutch campers, all anxious to give advice (conflicting of course! Two friend...

Adventures in France
Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Camp Des Cimes 2010. I was so privileged to serve alongside these people. I also read a statistic, and tried to look up an actual source, but all I could find were unofficial estimates. All stated that France's population is less then 5% Protestant. No, they aren't what we would consider a 'developing' country, but that doesn't mean they don't need Jesus. Please say a prayer for France. Say a prayer for these kids. Thank you again, for reading! Jesus, from John 17: 23. And as...

Wright's french adventure
Subscribe to this blog's feed. The following day we hired a boat for a day and sped across to the more well known island of Hvar. What a beautiful place, the Venetian influence was strong in the buildings and because there were clearly more moneyed tourists around the produce, restaurants and shops around were fantastic. . The rest of the time we just lay by our pool, swam in the sea and kayaked around the bay we were in. Blissful! Posted at 11:30 PM. Posted at 10:35 PM. 0160; I just hope she likes it...

French Adventure 2010
Comments, views and photographs from Phyllida and Victor's three month adventure in France in their new motorhome Summer 2010. Sunday, 29 August 2010. Bubbly, Vimy and Blighty! But we have the story to complete since the last blog and there are tales worth telling. As was our absent host at our France Passion that evening, but he had given us permission to park in his walled car park opposite his home. As this was in between two champagne producers we felt very much at home! And the following morning dro...

frenchadventure2011
Saturday, 6 August 2011. Just a brief and final blog to report in as back in Norwich safe and well, and once I find homes for everything we brought back, we should be back to some level of normality! This we found in a farmyard in a delightful village some 20 minutes drive west of Calais. A really good decision as it turned out, for the view was pretty and the home-made ice-cream and fresh milk bought from the farmer’s shop were totally delicious and we bought four tubs home! And just a couple of little ...

French Adventures | Grad school in Lyon, France.
Grad school in Lyon, France. More on libraries and classes. Bull;April 1, 2010 • Leave a Comment. Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here. That’s mostly because a lot less strikes me now that I’ve been here for a while, but also because a lot of the same things keep happening, which would make for pretty boring writing. But a couple of things have come up recently that I find interesting to share. How to use a library catalog! Bull;December 4, 2009 • 1 Comment. Yesterday they had scheduled...
