We have three weeks before Grami arrives to help with the new baby (due in about 4) and we are trying to get some school in before that. So far, with one week under our belt, we are doing well. Made his appearance almost at the stroke of midnight on the autumnal equinox. We thought we'd get a summer baby, but he held out and was born at 12:10 am on Sept. 22nd, 2009. From My Plate to Yours. Wednesday, November 11, 2009. 1lb grated cheddar cheese. 1lb grated Jack cheese. 2 lg cans Ortega green chiles. 1 lg can evaporated milk. 1 sm Jar Ortega mild salsa. In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer cheese, then chiles (washed and cut open). Make 2 layers. In small bowl, mix milk, flour and eggs. Pour mixture over chiles evenly. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour salsa over top and bake another 15 minutes. Serves 8-10. Sweet and Savory Meatballs. 188; c. dry bread crumbs.

Why is it, when life suddenly forces us onto a different course we never imagined we would be on, that suddenly nothing makes sense, everything is not fair and we no longer feel we are being blessed?
