Sunday, May 31, 2015. Why is it, when life suddenly forces us onto a different course we never imagined we would be on, that suddenly nothing makes sense, everything is not fair and we no longer feel we are being blessed? This is exactly how I have felt for the past two years. I don't know how to accept this new challenge of being single and how to rid myself of the pain that comes when I remember that my family is no longer the family I had created. Sunday, April 17, 2011. I am thankful for many things this Sabbath day. I am learning and growing in many different ways lately. Life throws things at me but I feel confident enough to conquer them all. I feel like I am holding a bat and I am hitting all the balls that get thrown at me. Before, I would have just lied down and quit when things got too hard. Oh how thankful I am for our Savior who makes it possible for me to carry on in this wonderful and often difficult life. It was just a small (if you could call it that considering the size of the families), simple affair. Very nicely done. The wedding was at Debbie and Jeff Owen's house in this beautiful room. Families are forever . . . We're so glad this one is ours. Friday, August 1, 2008. Mackworth Island - NOT! We were all really excited to go to Mackworth Island on Tuesday. After driving for over an hour with seven kids in two SUVs that don't get the greatest gas mileage, we were told that the island was "full" and they weren't letting anyone else on for the day. So, we drove around until we found this cute little picnic area where we stopped for lunch and some picture taking. Our friends who went with us.

From My Plate to Yours. Wednesday, November 11, 2009. 1lb grated cheddar cheese. 1lb grated Jack cheese. 2 lg cans Ortega green chiles. 1 lg can evaporated milk. 1 sm Jar Ortega mild salsa. In a 9 x 13-inch pan, layer cheese, then chiles (washed and cut open). Make 2 layers. In small bowl, mix milk, flour and eggs. Pour mixture over chiles evenly. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Pour salsa over top and bake another 15 minutes. Serves 8-10. Sweet and Savory Meatballs. 188; c. dry bread crumbs.
