Fussy Cutting

Tales of the Meandering Stitcher. Monday, April 6, 2015. So I figure a year later its still there.its not going anywhere. I used all outdoor and home dec fabric from my fabric stash so this project didn't cost me any money! For the pillows instead of purchasing outdoor inserts I used very little filling and actually filled them mostly with shopping bags! I enjoyed my afternoon outside reading a book on this lovely 72 degree day! Raise Hell and Change the World! Anyways. My cross stitch is now finished...

Fussy Cutting: July 2012

http://www.fussycutting.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html

Tales of the Meandering Stitcher. Tuesday, July 17, 2012. There is a reason my friends call me Grandma. I know I haven't posted in months and I am sorry for that. But, just because I haven't posted doesn't mean I haven't done anything! As you can see I succeeded at using the 1921 machine! The top star was made on the 1921 machine and the bottom star was made on my modern electric machine. I will be using the 1921 machine for projects in the future! Grandma part two. The next day I made sweet relish!

Fussy Cutting: May 2012

http://www.fussycutting.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html

Tales of the Meandering Stitcher. Friday, May 11, 2012. I haven't posted for almost a month! But, I'm not going to feel bad about that. 2 weeks ago I went to Chicago to visit my friend Rebecca and watch her participate in the Fear Experiment at the Park West. Last week I was a sicko. Summer colds are the worse. I had a fever for a few days. Now I just have a nasty cough. This week I have been packing away as I get the keys to my new apartment on Thursday and move on Saturday! I painted them with a super ...

Fussy Cutting: May 2014

http://www.fussycutting.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html

Tales of the Meandering Stitcher. Tuesday, May 13, 2014. A few months ago the Philadelphia Modern Quilt Guild participated in the Modern Quilt Guild Riley Blake Fabric Challenge. The National Guild always says "make whatever you want as long as its quilted" Our guild decided to ask that you do some machine quilting out of your comfort zone. I also outlined each of my triangles with the orange as well. I think this is the most "modern" looking quilt I have ever made! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Erika's World: March 2015

http://erikakay2.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

La la la la.La la la la.Erika's World. Friday, March 20, 2015. I decided in a late New Years resolution to do more creative projects, so I started with a painting for our guest room. And I decided I would blog it and share it. I don't have pictures of all of my steps, so I'll write them out instead. 1 I painted the entire canvas with: Artist's Loft - Metallic White, 2 coats. 2 I used Frog Tape Delicate and made Chevron stripes. I didn't measure.I just eyeballed it. This is the result of the first 3 steps.

La la la la.La la la la.Erika's World. Sunday, January 20, 2013. What could be so frustrating? Since I'm a big quote person, and because it will make me feel better here are a few. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice. At the end of the day saying,. I will try again tomorrow.". Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly. Life is a song - sing it. Life is a game - play it. Life is a challenge - meet it. Life is a dream - realize it. Life is love - enjoy it.

La la la la.La la la la.Erika's World. Wednesday, February 13, 2013. Everything Happens for a Reason. This might be a repeat title in my blog, but it's a phrase that all of us, at some point in our lives, will need to be reminded. And it's something that I am remembering today. And like the title says, Everything Happens for a Reason. I have gone through all I have, met the people I have all to make me who I am. Babe, I'm the lucky one! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). La la la la.La la la la.Erika's World. Tuesday, July 24, 2012. She is clothed in Strength. I have been thinking about a lot of things recently, as hopefully the culmination of a lot of different 'projects' comes to an end. This summer has been an interesting one, not one that most people would have or could have predicted. I recently found this quote and it's my new favorite, I feel it defines me in a way:. Erika's World: The terrible, no good, very bad Saturday

http://erikakay2.blogspot.com/2014/09/the-terrible-no-good-very-bad-saturday.html

La la la la.La la la la.Erika's World. Wednesday, September 24, 2014. The terrible, no good, very bad Saturday. A few weeks ago I had a really awful morning at work, and a member at the country club suggested I blog it to humor others. So I think I will. I titled the blog after a children's book, because although humorous it is also true. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. The terrible, no good, very bad Saturday. Erika's World: You're Beautiful

http://erikakay2.blogspot.com/2014/12/youre-beautiful.html

La la la la.La la la la.Erika's World. Tuesday, December 9, 2014. You're beautiful." That's what everyone keeps telling me in an attempt to make me feel better. "Don't worry, you're beautiful." As if that somehow makes me feel better. As if my beauty is what is in question in my failing/failed (not sure if it's past or present at this point) relationship. I will be ok, but not because I'm beautiful. I'll be ok because I'm strong, and determined. And loved. I have amazing friends and family wh...Awesome I...

http://erikakay2.blogspot.com/2014/11/1-year.html

La la la la.La la la la.Erika's World. Tuesday, November 25, 2014. 1 year. Seems like a long time and yet so short all at the same time. I feel like I'm the only one dwelling on it, but I've never been with any one for a whole year. I'm 29 years old and I've never managed to date anyone for a whole year. It's such an accomplishment for me and I'm proud of myself and no one cares. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Re-Release: First Of The Month Vol 3 [Soul Food] Dj Rocko.

Erika's World: Defying the impulse to jump ship

http://erikakay2.blogspot.com/2014/10/defying-impulse-to-jump-ship.html

La la la la.La la la la.Erika's World. Monday, October 6, 2014. Defying the impulse to jump ship. A few weeks ago a friend of mine posted this quote to her Instagram, and I couldn't thank her enough for her perfect timing. My boyfriend and I were, to put it as he did.having a "coming to Jesus moment". And I was a mess! Our relationship has not been perfect, in almost a year we've been through a lot! Monday, August 3, 2015. Great article. " Unless you are ghosting to escape an abusive relationship in which you are fearing for your safety, ghosting is an act of cowardice.". Thursday, August 8, 2013. Yeah, it's been a WHILE. Lost my quilting mojo for the last 12 months to an unforeseen DIVORCE. Life took a huge crap on me, but I've finally learned how to pull myself up and get on with it. I AM starting to get my creative mind back in gear. Here are a few photos from the last time i was able to sew-.

Friday, November 25, 2016. Michael Hampton at Nido's photo by Phiona Hamilton. I haven't posted here for so long. To be quite honest, I became frustrated with how hard it was to move things around on my posts. So I looked for greener grass and alas, the grass was brown! So I am back! And I want to talk about the renewed passion I have for spinning! I went to see my friend, Michael Hampton Speak at Nido's. I ordered a new wheel! It is an Ashford Joy and it looks like this.
