Since moving from Oz to California in 2000, courtesy of my employer, life has been good. I arrived at the height of dot com insanity, and have managed to survive so far, the inevitable downturn. The advice about "live in California but leave before you get too soft", definitely holds true.

Adjustment from his "only cat" status hasn't always been easy, as he had to accept #2 cat position when Spooky. Arrived. However they have reached a compromise, involving frequent violence, and occasional "furry piling" at bedtime.
