Growing While Losing: To Be six again!
http://growingwhilelosing.blogspot.com/2009/10/to-be-six-again.html
Growing Spritually while losing physically. Friday, October 30, 2009. To Be six again! To Be 6 Again. A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she'd like to have for her birthday. I'd like to be six again', she replied, still looking in the mirror. On the morning of her birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day!

Growing While Losing: June 2009
http://growingwhilelosing.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Growing Spritually while losing physically. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. A Little Behind :-). A lot of it is just a proper mindset and reminding myself that " I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me" (Phil. 4:13). After missing three weeks of weigh in at TOPS. I was a little nervous about returning, but did anyway! To my surprise, I lost 3.5 pounds. I was thrilled and even more determined to continue with eating more healthy. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Growing While Losing: May 2009
http://growingwhilelosing.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
Growing Spritually while losing physically. Sunday, May 31, 2009. It has been a tough weekend. My husband decided he wanted to take me on a little vacation. So it was off to the mountains! I'm really not complaining! I guess that is part of life and part of learning how to discipline myself and eat the things that are necessary and helpful to me. Anyway, I ate only fruits and vegetables, drank water, and when I got home I ate a 100 calorie yogurt. The Lord truly has been my helper this week. What do I do?

Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Adoption- the 2017 version. November is National Adoption Month. I've tried to write this multiple times, but I've just been in a very weird mood for most of 2017- a mood strongly related to adoption- and I worry it's coming off dark and twisty. Feelings. Big ones. If you are going to read this, please hear it from a place of truth- our truth. I'm (probably)(over)sharing because I think it's important. Hard, messy, complex, and a bunch of other stuff- for all parties. This yea...
Growing with Grace
A Journal of Thoughts. Friday, December 23, 2016. Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6. Sunday, June 21, 2015. I've been watching my dad, lately. Just like I did with my mom I've been noticing his actions and responses to the situations that we find ourselves in. My dad is encouraging, strong, and full of love. And I want to show y'all that that's exactly how I see him. If I was ev...

How many hours a day do you hold your smart phone? Is your phone the first thing you reach for in the morning and the last thing you think about as you recharge it for the next day? Growing While Shrinking | Kitty’s musings as she shrinks herself
Kitty’s musings as she shrinks herself. October 19, 2011 by healthykitty. I started a C25K program back in March. For those of you not in the know – it brings you from doing no activity to running (jogging) 5 km in about 8 weeks. I have been jogging 3 times a week unless injured or on vacation. I’m still on week 5. Which is still amazing for me. I’m still getting active, keeping active, and I can see and feel the changes in my body. I coach the 5-8 year olds. They run 800 meters in their race. Asked: 2&#...

Growing Whole Hearts
Everything Beautiful {Family Blog}. Sunday, August 16, 2015. Record Keeping {Notebooking and Journals}. Over the years of public schooling I had children keep journals. As a keepsake of the growth made throughout school year. Now as a homeschool mom I have found this practice just as positive! We put everything in them from stories we write to art projects we make. To maps we label to photos/letters we want to keep. So we glue it in our journals as well. It just depends on how often it is used. The boys ...
