Thursday, 15 August 2013. I painted this unit for a customer, using the new Imperial Roman Axillary cavalry just released by Aventine Miniatures. They are painted to my showcase standard and are based on MDF bases. I particularly like the face mask worn by the standard bearer, and the Heddernheim helmets are very well depicted by Adam( Aventines sculptor). Wednesday, 14 August 2013. Wednesday, 19 December 2012. This vignette comprises Perry figures, we have Henry VI,Margaret of Anjou and the duke of Buckingham and added a mounted man at arms as a standard bearer. This vignette uses Perry Miniatures Richard III set. Tuesday, 18 December 2012. I painted up this perry miniatures figure of Henry V, it reminds me so much of Lawrence Olivier from the film he made of Henry V. Tuesday, 13 November 2012. Italian Allied and Roman Cavalry. These are Aventine Italian allied cavalry i painted for a customer, i also did 2 units of Roman cavalry as well hence the reason i added the Romans . Wednesday, 12 June 2013. Emperor Trajan command vignette sale. I am selling this vignette of Trajan being shown the severed head of a Dacian king. The figures are all by Aventine and are painted to my highly detailed showcase standard. There are 6 figures and they are based on a sturdy round MDF base that has been textured with long and short grasses added along with rocks. Wednesday, 24 December 2014. 15mm Jackal II Corgi conversion. This pair of vehicles has crew painted up in green berets to represent Royal Marine vehicles, one .50 cal and one MMG. The vehicles were undercoated light grey and painted Iraqi Sand. Fuel cans were painted NATO green. Monday, 31 August 2015. 1980s British higher level HQs and CO. Here are the CO and higher level HQs for the British formations I've put together. They are mounted on 60x40mm bases, slightly larger than the 40x40mm bases I usually use, but I wanted to be able to differentiate the higher level HQs from the battalion and company HQs. First up, 4th Armoured Division CO, three FV439s, two Sultans and a Scorpion. The Brigade HQ for 11th Armoured, a single Sultan, FV439 and Scorpion. Tuesday, 25 August 2015.

Getting ready for the big Cold War Commander game (The Battle for Hannover) at Broughton in September, here is a Mechanised (Motor) Infantry battalion, mounted in Saxon apcs. A and B Cos are left and right foreground, C Co. is rear left, Batt HQ is at the very back centre, with the 81mm mortar platoon in front and the Milan AT Co rear right. Friday, 28 November 2014. Big Force on Force game. Looking south, the convoy ambush site is where the road bends towards the trees. The convoy with my armour deployed amongst the buildings. I had three activations to get the best positions I could with orders to repel western forces coming out of the woods on the far table edge. Another view of the convoy.
