This apparently happens twice a month and they document information about weight, length, breeding status and other information about the birds. It is quite an undertaking and one of our group even got to release one of the birds after all measurements and information was obtained! View my Tags page.

Back of the photo says Eastside Park, Patterson, NJ. George was born in 1918 so this is probably early 1919. Cheryl's Internantional Drivers License Sep 1968. The Thompson's Chickens

What I didn't expect. Last year my daughter and I came up with the idea of raising chickens in our backyard. After a little discussion and a lot of research we were well on our way. Our goal is to raise our chickens for eggs. This is a journal of our experience and learning. April 8, 2010. Purchased our first two day old chicks. (Black Cochins). April 17, 2010.
