Thursday, 18 October 2012. Pretty simple with pete, i dont know why this is underlining blue, but very simple rembrandt style lighting, having the flash at least a foot above his head height. The flash had a small shoot through umbrella on it. Hes not a model so i didnt need to worry about filling shadows or anything. Flash connected wirelessly to camera so I can move freely. So I referenced the technique used by anime artists to show that the subject is looking at something cute. They always put two catchlights in the eyes, either horizontally or vertically, I chose vertically so my lighting would be of the hollywood style from straight above and below. Technology - Second Year
Technology - Second Year. Wednesday, 15 May 2013. I selected Ilford Gallerie gloss and matte papers and used the Canon 5250 printer to perform my calibration on. I thought the gloss paper had an obvious increase in saturation and brightness across the whole image and it is this image which I printed for the final ringaround probably because of that reason. The following are screen shots of my workflow with a screen capture of the over layed gamuts in colorsync. Adobe RGB overlayed on Ilford Gloss profile.
