Monday, July 29, 2013. As part of motivation for reading for the boys, they earned their way for a trip to the Living History Farms! We have been reading "Little House" books this past winter so I thought it would be fun to actually see what it was like in the olden days! The kids really enjoyed reading the information displays along the paths and seeing first hand how people lived back then! This year we headed back to the Ozarks again with our family! The boys tried something new this year! The best pa...

Wednesday, June 27, 2012. Last week Friday, we went to Reiman Gardens with some friends of ours from school. The kids had a BLAST! Mitchell is obsessed with Lego's so this was right up his alley! What perfect weather for a fun outing! A few weeks ago, we celebrated my grandpa DV's 85th Birthday! We had almost all the grandkids there and of course the great grandkids. We enjoyed smoked meat for dinner and lots of sides! Tuesday, June 19, 2012. We hope all the dad's out there had a great Father's Day!

Tuesday, August 20, 2013. This year we decided to go back to the Ozarks one last time, this time with my side of the family. We had decent weather, it rained a lot in the mornings, and then was nice the rest of the day. Some days were warmer than others. The kids had a blast together and enjoyed riding the tube, and the boys did some water skiing too! A big Thanks to Denny and Karen for letting us use their condo! Hope you enjoy the pictures of our fun week at the Lake of the Ozarks! Welcome to our blog!

Saturday, January 11, 2014. Christmas with the Van Zee's. We had a fun time celebrating Christams with Elden's side! We also have the tradition of staying overnight together as well! The boys got way to many presents like usual but got some meaningful ones! Mitchell got his first Bible from Nancy and Connor got some new books from Angie. Connie made each of them a blanket with their favorite sports teams! How nice that was of her! Of course I couldn't get that picture to download for some reason! The kid...

Tuesday, June 11, 2013. We had a fun start to summer so far! This morning we made some water bombs and water balloons and this afternoon we got out the slip n slide! It took the kids a while to dare to go down the slide with the cold water, but after a while they were loving it! We definetly have lots of great hills to go down! It's nice to have a hot day to do some water fun! We have decided to sign up both the boys for baseball this year! Mitchell and Connor are blessed to have so many who love them!

A Journey Made Joyful With a Load Made Light. Monday, April 19, 2010. Walking Away From Fear. No picture today. Lots of stuff on my mind, though. One of the biggest - I'll even go so far as to call it epic - things God has been leading me through lately is about walking away from fear. Specifically, the fear of man. To be even more precise, having to have the approval of man to be OK. What do I do if someone doesn't like me or want me? Will I believe what God has spoken over me? I want to learn to love&#...

A Journey Made Joyful With a Load Made Light. Sunday, December 26, 2010. Power surges are the worst. Earlier this afternoon, I had sat down to blog for awhile - was going along, just writing away when everything shut down, just like that. Ugh! We've had about 5 of those surges in little Richey, MT, today - a few of them during my husband's sermon. Not sure what's up, but it certainly isn't conducive for maintaining your train of thought. Anyway, I'm trying again. What people might be thinking of you?

A Journey Made Joyful With a Load Made Light. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Getting Sweaty and Getting Cozy. Two things I did today that weren't planned:. 1) I worked out on the Eliptical for the first time in 3 months. Laurel, Josh and I trekked over to the old gym where I got on the Eliptical and they shot hoops for awhile - it actually made the time go quickly having them there. My foot did just fine - no pain, no swelling. Next time, 30 minutes on a higher level. Links to this post. So with my husban...
