Built in 1887 by the Smith Bridge Company, this Howe Truss span crosses Salt Creek near the Hamlet of Enochsburg in Franklin County. We are approximately 150 furlongs from Historic Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. This is an area which is steeped in horse racing history. It is our intention to provide authentic and accurate information and offerings about Hurricana and the significant role it played in the early days of thoroughbred horseracing in Upstate New York during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
