Welcome to my little home on the web. My name is Bobbie, I go by the handle "HorseTender" on various forums, social sites and my blog. I have big plans for this site, but for now I just wanted to create a bit of a quick introduction for those of you who may find your way here. :). On the left is my 2001 Paint stallion, Bo and I. He is my main man, I first saw him and bought him when he was only one month old. I finally made it on there recently and have been enjoying browsing and creating pin boards.

Here are two pictures of my first session with "Onyx", the mustang I trained for the 2009 Extreme Mustang Challenge. I believe we never stop learning and I am working on learning more about "finishing" a horse - though I believe a horse is never really finished either! Here are a some pictures of me working with my horses over the last several years:.

Compound all of that by both Bo and I being pretty out of shape right now. Yeah, it's gonna be a bit of an uphill battle from the start. I think it will be fun and if we can go to some shows and not make fools of ourselves, having done most of the work on our own, it'll be great. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://horsetender.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Assorted odd ramblings from the mind of a horse lover. Visit my website at: www.HorseTender.org. Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Summer is now coming to an end and I'm frustrated that yet another year has gone by, crashed by another false start. Now I'm starting fresh - again. I find myself very hopeful though, because I think this start - this rise from the ashes - is the one. The one start that won't be false. I'm hopeful that this really is the start to a new life. I've been really cracking down on myself to get back to posting on a regular basis on my Studio Blog. I gave him a few days off over last weekend. He did get to meet my other boys and they got along fairly well - although he is really not impressed with my colt, who thinks he's big and bad and rules the roost. I haven't posted on this blog in quite a while. However, since this was originally meant to be my horse blog and I've got something horse-related that's really bothering me. Here I am.
