Devilish Potatoes | Post Punk Kitchen | Vegan Baking & Vegan Cooking
http://www.theppk.com/2013/03/devilish-potatoes
March 20, 2013. Makes 20 hors d’oeuvres. Total time: 1 1/2 hours Active time: 20 minutes. I know. Adorable, right? A tender roasted potato with a creamy, eggy filling. Sprinkled with a little paprika and a sprig of dill, they taste as irresistible as they look. The recipe she used (and I think most people use this one) is from VegWeb, called Potato Angels. I wanted to make a version that would be perfect for Passover or Easter. Pop them into one of those vintage egg trays and impress everyone. Use a jar ...

Uncultured food and entertainment reviews Brisvegas. The likeable hipster bar. Kerbside – Constance St. You’ll notice that the images in this review are waaaay above my usual standard. This is because I’m not the one shooting: instead, we had Tracy from Itty Bitty Bites. Join us and apply her prodigious photographic talents to the task. Brisbane’s swift transition from cultural dungeon to Fairly Cool Place has lead to a great flourishing of hipsters. 8220;Man, that synth hook is so danceable”. It’s...

In the Mood for Noodles: July 2014
http://inthemoodfornoodles.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
In the Mood for Noodles. Monday, July 7, 2014. We are back in Hong Kong and since being gf is hard here. Im going to try to blog my meals. Although I've already missed a few things. Hong Kong is such a crazy city. I feel like I still love it and hate it. I always get whirled into shopping too much even now when I have no money. This city makes me want to go out more, see more, do more but then I get tired and over the heat and the crowds and just want to retreat. Anyway, on to the food. Links to this post.

the tropical vegan: Growing
http://travelingvegan.blogspot.com/p/growing_5299.html
Find my posts about our garden here. Here's our backyard in June 2012, about 2 months after we moved in. And here it is 18 months later, in December 2013. You can flick through the progress shots here. I'll put any notes along side, but this will not be any kind of comprehensive gardening manual! Almost-ripe peanut butter fruit. This is what we have tried to grow, or are growing, so far. Fruit Trees and Shrubs. Fast growing screen plants. Don't plant in full sun in Townsville summer. Don't overwater.

the tropical vegan: One last Hong Kong post
http://travelingvegan.blogspot.com/2011/11/one-last-hong-kong-post.html
Sunday, November 13, 2011. One last Hong Kong post. I think it is worth telling you all about our second day in Hong Kong in regular, chronological narrative form. It kind of demonstrates the kind of experience we had in a way that showing you a bunch of photos at once doesn't do. We started by walking over to Whampoa, and catching the ferry to North Point. We walked around that neighbourhood for a few minutes, just taking it all in, before catching the train to Causeway Bay to visit the library. We caug...

http://travelingvegan.blogspot.com/2014/04/townsvilles-vegan-revolution-part-2.html
Sunday, April 06, 2014. Townsville's Vegan Revolution part 2: Degusting. Townsville is coming ahead in leaps and bounds when it comes to veganism. Early this year I discovered. The fabulous breakfast options at relish. Last week, we moved on to fine dining. Vegans in Townsville have raved. About A touch of Salt. Before, but Andy and I rarely go out for dinner, so I hadn't got there yet. But when they advertised a 5 course vegetarian degustation dinner, I jumped at the chance. Another glass of white wine ...

drossolalia: January 2012
http://drossolalia.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, 29 January 2012. A fruit tart or two. For no apparent reason whatsoever, I got it into my head that I wanted to make a fruit tart (and, from here on, pies more generally — ordering Vegan Pie in the Sky. Is definitely in order). The first attempt last Sunday was very mediocre looks-wise, but still quite tasty; the second attempt on the Thursday public holiday went much better, and not only because I was at my parents' and ably assisted by my fruit-cutting sidekick, Mum (Thanks again). Vegan living...
