Jeff and Nike 2. Friday, June 21, 2013. We celebrated Father's Day with our first "hike" with two kids. We walked a mile-ish loop around Lake Evergreen, which is just west of Denver in the foothills. It was a beautiful day and a great park. Jack walked, ran, rode his bike, and rode in the double BOB, while Liddy rode in the stroller or in the carrier. We had great family time and lots and lots of yummy food. Unfortunately, a few days later we learned that Jeff's mom's cancer is back. The to-do list will never be done, but we've (mostly) tried to balance fun and work as the summer has gone on. Highlights below:. Coralville 4th of July parade at Nike's Uncle Joe's house. It's been on my summer bucket list and I'm so glad we made it! The girls could have spent a week there! Then we headed to the cabin, where the Hackneys came for the 1st time!
