Wanda wonders while she wanders and races. Paris to Ancaster 70k Bike Race. April 28, 2016. In Racing. Training. Play. - wandAR. It has been awhile since I had done a stand alone bike race. Focusing mainly on adventure racing and even more so the last 2 years on ultra running. I really wanted to get back on the bike, though. So I made it a goal to balance the bike and run training better this year. I enlisted coach Jen Segger. To ensure that would happen as she is a beast on both. Barely two weeks before...

LIFE BEHIND THE SCENES. Monday, October 3, 2011. Kaslo SufferFest - Are You Ready to Suffer? Well, all I can say is that the. Lived up to its name. It's Monday, and I'm still wading through the fuzz - ugh. If you don't know where it is,. I've never actually taken the time to drive through the Kootenays before, and after such a great weekend spent running on the local trails, I honestly wish I had more time to play (but with fresh legs! TheSmithGarage: January 2013
http://thesmithgarage.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 22, 2013. So I haven't given up, in fact Mrs. Smith and I have been painting away, and trucking along in TheSmithHotel's business, expanding into an additional location in Redding, and doing plenty of shows through the Fall season. So yesterday we got a call that one of Marshal's pieces had sold (actually one of his "Masterpieces"). Great news anytime a large piece of furniture gets repurposed and enters into someone's life. Here it is before Marshal distressed it. Sunday, January 6, 2013.

Saturday, June 26, 2010. Summer Solstice Trail Marathon. This was my make it or break it race. I have been feeling love/hate about running lately, and was unsure of how I'd react to 42.2km, 1866m elevation trail marathon. I'd been a bit slack in my training as well. If this race sucked I was going to postpone my first 50miler until next summer. Nearing the end I hit an aid station where I promptly ate about 3 cut up oranges. I couldn't stop! Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Summer Solstice in a couple weeks!

Shannon MacLeod: Warrior Dash 2011
http://shannshann22.blogspot.com/2011/08/warrior-dash-2011.html
Thursday, August 11, 2011. Most people do dress up for this race. I got my pirate kit on, met Tammy and Jose who put together costumes last minute as well. It was like Pemberton Fest meets Halloween! 4,500 racers, wave starts of 500 leaving every half hour. Good looking dressed up people everywhere. Very happy we picked the first race wave as we never knew what was next. The Warrior website hinted about certain obstacles been in the race, but they weren't. Surprise! Hire a web programmer.
