The Market: In pictures | jessepeckwrites
https://jessepeckwrites.com/2012/10/09/the-market-in-pictures
About all things human. The Market: In pictures. The market is the center of the universe, as far as I can tell. The market, once intimidating because of the French required to navigate through the purchasing process, has now become one of my favorite weekly routines. Sometimes I even take my camera. I even have a regular produce stand, which is run by an older couple that while helpful are not overly friendly. I have learned these key phrases to help expedite the process. Puis-je avoir un panier? And of...
Throw-back post: Le Luberon | jessepeckwrites
https://jessepeckwrites.com/2013/08/31/throw-back-post-le-luberon
About all things human. Throw-back post: Le Luberon. A tour of four Luberon villages. The selection of photographs above are from our first outing, a lovely day of winding and climbing though the hilltop towns of the Luberon Valley, well four of them at least. The Luberon Valley is famous for Peter Mayle, who penned. A Year in Provence. Out of the four towns we managed to make it to on our drive: Bonnieux. The first was by far my favorite. August 31, 2013. One Response to Throw-back post: Le Luberon.

About all things human. Mon jour in photos. Flower market in front of Hotel de Ville. I am always trying to take very good pictures with my better camera, but today I decided that I never have time to do this so am going to start taking snap shots with my not-that-good camera because I can carry it with me anywhere, which will mean that you will see more pictures on the blog, which is good, right? In the mirror with a camera, kind of back lit but you can see that I am wearing a sweater. I wound my way th...
To Paris, with love | jessepeckwrites
https://jessepeckwrites.com/2012/12/07/to-paris-with-love
About all things human. To Paris, with love. So I made out about half. Still, I nodded like I understood everything. When we got to the gardens, the first thing that we came across was a gated playground with a rather varied assortment of fantastic, moderately dangerous, equipment. If you find yourself in Paris with school-age children, this is a worthwhile stop. We payed the few Euros for the boys to play and sat our weary selves onto a bench to watch them while we caught up. The plan. He had a point.

About all things human. The water is calm but the fence is gone. The water is calm but the fence is gone. We watched the continent-size hurricane approaching the Long Island Sound on an 8×12 inch computer screen, the four of us huddled together on a love seat in Provence. We did not speak too much about It because you cannot have that. Over two café crèmes, with the sun beams falling diagonally over the fountain in the Place Hotel de Ville and the gypsy music in the background and the instigator scooting...

Ok…remember when I said I overdid it on Day 5 with the macadamia nuts and raisins? Well, it turns out my stomach problems didn’t have anything to do with what I ate that day at all. In fact, the problem persisted and got worse on Day 10 and I hadn’t even so much as sniffed a macadamia or a raisin. Posted on May 3, 2013, in Diet.

Sorry this has taken me so long to write. I started a new job and life became very busy and active. The results are in and it’s a mixed bag of good and bad. First, let’s recap the last days of my Whole30. The best part is I lost 10 pounds! I also reduced my measurements on nearly every part of my body except my arms. Not s...

Skip to main content. Skip to primary sidebar. Skip to secondary sidebar. My journey to finding health and fitness. Larr; Day 8 through 13. Days 15 through 30 and Reintroduction →. Days 14 through 21. As you may already know from reading my blog, three years ago I found Jillian Michael’s book, Master Your Metabolism, and I began following her recommendations for dietary changes. One of the most astounding things that occurred during that transition was my face cleared up. I mean CLEARED UP! At this point...

Life On The Edge. December 7, 2011 · 9:13 PM. Sometimes I wait to post on here because I don’t feel like I have epic enough things to inform the world about, but I’m realizing that the more I put off posting the easier it gets to avoid it all together. So its time I posted something! Thats a big deal considering how small and weak we are as humans beings, and the things I like to do. (=. Its winter in Jackson and that means that I’v been on the tips of the earth playing in the snow! The few things that I...

About all things human. August 31, 2013. Throw-back post: Provence is even cooler than you think. One year ago today, I was packing and saying my goodbyes. Tonight, I am looking through my old posts, messing with the format of my blog, and trying to rekindle my engagement in an activity that has been on hold during the intense early phase of another major renovation. I happened upon this post, never…. August 31, 2013. Throw-back post: Le Luberon. March 21, 2013. December 7, 2012. To Paris, with love.
