Jim's Biking Blog: June 2008

http://www.jimsbikingblog.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html

Jims anything cycling blog. Sunday, June 29, 2008. After Tonya came home I was able to swap the tire and head out for an afternoon ride around 2:30. It was a welcome sight to see our trails are finally showing some sings of moisture but they must of also gotten some winds out there as there was one tree down on Lost Creek and 2 on spider woman. Im trying to decide between the Conti Mountain King, Speed King, or the Jones XR matching front. Avg: 10.0 (slooow ride). Friday, June 20, 2008. Avg HR : 155.

Jims anything cycling blog. Thursday, July 31, 2008. Saw one big black snake crossing the stewardship trail that luckily for me was just far enough ahead that half of it cleared the trail just in time for me to get by without having to run it over or anything. It was a good size one and glad I didnt have to deal with any outcome that may have resulted. Saturday, July 26, 2008. Back in the Saddle. Avg Speed: 10.9. Lost Creek Personal Record : 31.11 / 11.0. Were on bicycles for goodness sake, but dang if that wind cant put it on ya. Distance : 35.42. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Jim's Biking Blog: Night Ride at Harbison ?

http://www.jimsbikingblog.blogspot.com/2009/03/night-ride-at-harbison.html

Jims anything cycling blog. Friday, March 13, 2009. Night Ride at Harbison? Whoa, whats this . http:/ www.thestate.com/living/story/711841.html. Somebody at work asked me about this and this was the first I heard of anything going on at harbison after dusk. Not that I even have a set of lights, but this would definately bump the lights up on the priority list if we can start riding the local trails at dusk now. Affectionately Known as Beast. Get some lights and meet me at sesqui sometime.

Tom's Cycling and Other Stuff. Sunday, June 29, 2008. Leah and I went to Charleston this weekend on a mommy/daddy getaway, thanks to some really kind friends of ours offering to watch the kids. Leah said she wanted to do some mountain biking with me so we took the bikes. Got my first ride at Marrington. We ended up with 12 miles which is awesome for Leah since the last time she rode was probably two years ago. We rewarded ourselves with dinner at High Cotton on bay street last night.
