The Fletchers in Bangkok. What are we doing? We are Jon, Elise, Elliot (6) and Samuel (4) Fletcher, a family from Shrewsbury in Shropshire where we have put down deep roots over twenty years! The Fletchers in Bangkok. What are we doing? June 22, 2016. Summoned before the Gamagan, the community leaders, first thing on a Sunday morning – this could only be bad news! The day itself was awesome; we got to have fun and deepen relationships with the kids as the staff at the school did all the hard work! The Roy Rak team ran a jewellery workshop, we enjoyed a huge bouncy castle and the flip-flop wearing Rong Moo football team came home with the trophy! Excitement levels are pretty high in our house!

Sunday, 10 January 2010. Well we finally did it! Yesterday was our wedding day and what a day it was. The weather was absolutely perfect (35 degrees celcius) though we were a bit sweaty during the ceremony (from 1700 hrs)! Elaine looked absolutely stunning in her beautiful dress as did the bridesmaids, in dresses made by Elaine and her mom. Jon and his best men Bas and Ade were dressed in formal tails and looked super handsome, if a little hot! Update - 2nd February 2010. Saturday, 26 December 2009.

Sunday, 10 May 2009. At about 8:30 pm or so, but that soon wore off. Feeling very tired, I asked for an epidural at about 10:00 pm. Well, it was wonderful! I honestly don't know why everyone doesn't have them! Here, you hardly get any maternity pay from your company (two weeks, and that’s it! But the State of California pays out half your pay for about 12 weeks. After that, it was off home. Today is Mothers’ Day. I received a card and a couple of lovely presents – Baileys (hurrah! It is with great joy that I post this blog… Our sweet daughter, Avery Rae Kelley, was born on May 7th, 2011 at 6:48pm. She weighed 7 lbs 1/2 oz and was 20 inches long.
