Sunday, 10 May 2009. At about 8:30 pm or so, but that soon wore off. Feeling very tired, I asked for an epidural at about 10:00 pm. Well, it was wonderful! I honestly don't know why everyone doesn't have them! Here, you hardly get any maternity pay from your company (two weeks, and that’s it! But the State of California pays out half your pay for about 12 weeks. After that, it was off home. Today is Mothers’ Day. I received a card and a couple of lovely presents – Baileys (hurrah! Friday, 6 February 2009. Well brr, it's one cold winter this year, snow in october, snow in jan, snow in feb! Maybe it'll be good for the apples, and kill all the nasty bugs in the garden! Not to mention the mice that have taken up residence! Of course, Bethany arrived 2 weeks ago, so things are in turmoil! Friday, 19 November 2010. Encoding. The bain of most developers life at some point. And as developers using Pentaho / Java / Tomcat we're sadly not exempt! Take an out of the box configuration; This will NOT work with European accented characters with Mondrian. By this I mean:. Pentaho 3.6/3.7 running in UTF-8 under Tomcat 6 (Default Config). Mysql 5 (Default Config). Things get even worse on windows because the default encoding isn't UTF-8 for tomcat. But thankfully I'm not using windows any more.

Monday, 24 March 2008. I do love the resident evil series, despite seeing the 3rd one first! We were in sanfrancisco at the time and it was pouring with rain so we saw this in one of the new digital cinemas - amazing. So then managed to catch the first one on TV, that explained a lot of things! Then i realised of course, we'd missed 2, so i picked that up on ebay.
