Brandi's Lifesong: July 2015
http://brandislifesong.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. Below is what I wrote and then spoke at my Mamaw Pilkenton's funeral on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Mamaw Pilkenton (Arlenia Rose Pilkenton). Hans Christian Anderson once said, “A human life is a story told by God.” The Bible reminds us in Psalm 107:2 “Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story- -those he redeemed from the hand of the foe.”. Let us pray…. In your Son’s precious name we pray, AMEN. You see I don’t own any of those memories, but many of you do. I invite yo...But her...

http://petersenlife.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 20, 2013. The Story of Us.so far. Oh wow, I've been away from the blog world for a very long time. That would be because it takes time. Time is precious. So, we've got some pretty exciting news. I know you would love for me to just go ahead and spill but you're going to have to wait. : ). Photo taken in Orlando, FL. At the birth of Brent's nephew, Brennan. By that December.December 19, 2005 (what would be our baby boy's b-day 3 years later) we were engaged. Check it.I'm a wife! Wow, do th...

As I See It: June 2011
http://debsperspective.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
As I See It. Tuesday, June 14, 2011. While I am typically quite satisfied with my state of being in the world, yesterday, I was reading a favorite blog of mine, and it got me thinking that maybe I shouldn't be so content. The blog is called. It's a yoga blog written by Kristin Shepherd. Her posts are usually quite short, but they always make me think. The post I'm referring to here was titled. Yoga and Energy Management. Do I have a strong sense of my own power or am I afraid of life? Wuvvvv, twoooo wuvvv.

http://declaringhisglory.blogspot.com/2014/01/looking-back-and-looking-ahead-kids.html
Monday, January 6, 2014. Memories, Wishes, and Goals (Kids Edition). Happy New Year, everyone! To kick off 2014 in aftercare, I made a simple handout for the kids to do today. Their responses were great. Some went the thoughtful route. Some decided to be a little more lighthearted. Some decided to make sure they made my heart smile. Here's a little snapshot into the best of 2013 and what's ahead in 2014:. The two best things that happened to me in 2013:. Having a bunch of fun. I went to Boston. As for me...

Beautiful Things: November 2014
http://declaringhisglory.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 6, 2014. Hello again, old friends. I could make excuses like, "I'm a first year teacher and went grocery shopping for the first time in a month last week, unpacked my bedroom after living in my apartment for two months, and feel like I can breathe for the first time since August," but we'll just go with. I slacked in blogger world. So what brought me back to this space, to this world? We prayed through the first days of chemo and the many days thereafter. We prayed through big surg...

Sunday, May 18, 2014. A Life in Movies Pt. 1: 1980 - 1984. Do you think you can tell much about a person by the movies they watch? I'd say you can, but barely so. If this were a truly accurate account of someone, how could we explain people who absolutely love slasher movies? Would we run screaming from them? I believe this was the first movie I ever saw in a theater. My Uncle Dennis took me and even bought me a Superman ring at the concession. Pretty doggone cool! The first of many Harrison Ford movies ...

In addition to the standards such as sweet corn, greens, potatoes, broccoli, and pickling cucumbers we have also been introduced (forced, you might say) to eat things we could never have even identified a few years ago.
