Thursday, February 17, 2011. Field Trip with Assisi Illam. Wednesday, February 16. We had a day off from teaching as the schools were off for a Muslim holiday. Stephen said between the Muslim, Hindu and Catholic holidays, schools and government offices are closed for about 25 days each year. Sr Rose had invited us to join the kids for a trip to the countryside to visit one of Dr Sr Rexline’s projects. She is building a farmhouse complete with animals and 30 acres of land for crops. 8221; with excitement.

Saturday, December 17, 2011. I'm glad to be back in Chennai, which is becoming more like a second home with the frequency of my visits. There was no drama or stress related to my flight getting to India this time around. I didn't even mind the 20 some hours of flight; I was able to sleep, read (I put a small dent into Shantaram. And catch up on some new releases. My flight path was Mpls. To Chicago to London to Chennai. I left Mpls. At 2Pm on Thursday the 15 th. Stephen's wife and three-year-old son.

2015: The Year of Katie. It’s amazing how fast time can move, especially when you aren’t drowning in your own anxieties. I’m halfway through 2015 and so far, it has been a much better year.
