When we arrived, Brody's eyes got huge as he looked at the gigantic orange field of "balls." He was so excited! It was so fun to watch him run from pumpkin to pumpkin and then, he found the hay bales. He climbed up and down, up and down the hay. What more fun could a little boy have? Brody won the game by guessing the correct number of kit kats in a jar. He went, "1, 2, 9! I wrote down 9 for him and he won! His Dad taught him to kick and now he won't stop. He goes, "Hi-ya! Everything gets a piece of Brody these days, the couch, his toys, balls, mommy. Look at all those smiles! They're anticipating the forthcoming candy.

Tuesday, July 21, 2009. Highlight: Family Came to Visit. In April (yes, I know that's four months ago! My family came to visit us and I loved every minute of it! Sadly, my dad and brother couldn't make it, and we all missed them terribly. So here are some of the highlights! We went around to all of the main tourist sights (Temple of Heaven, the Forbidden City, the Ming Tombs, ate Peeking Duck, ate at our neighbor's house, climbed the Great Wall, and did A LOT of shopping! She was absolutely exhausted after visiting so many people. At this party alone there were between 15 and 20 people! She is definitely getting socialized to lots of people. Austin has the webcam on the construction that is going on in front of us and we keep talking about the possibility of an Amtrak trip sometime.
