Hodge Family Lore and Legends. Thursday, March 19, 2009. I have been to the west many times. Years ago, I drove over the Rockies into California from Nevada at dawn and was amazed by the mist and sunlight. Still have a hard time describing it. It was glittery and bright, then shady and moist in no particular order. The mist held close to the ground, but when it rose, it left moisture on the window that defied the windshield wipers. Would we use them only as a point of reference when traveling?

I am already seeing that at the mid-point of the challenge. I started Bikram Yoga to improve my stamina and focus. This year, I will be teaching at the local community college, taking classes at Wayne State University toward my PhD, and working full-time. I would agree with anyone who thinks that is just too much to do! Attitude....

Wednesday, May 11, 2011. I'll try to keep this short. This past weekend, I had the privilege to visit Larn and family in Utah for Reilly's baptism. It wouldn't be a real trip if there were no hang-ups so I kicked off my trip with the requisite delay in Phoenix and got to Salt Lake about 45 minutes late. No big deal, right? Beat by a 6-yr-old!
