Someone's in the Kitchen with Brina...: Taste the rainbow

http://kitchenwithbrina.blogspot.com/2014/04/taste-rainbow.html

Baltimore, MD, United States. View my complete profile. April 16, 2014. I love this dish, not only because it's easy and delicious, but it's also so dang pretty. I love all the bright colors from the carrots, kale, curry, and turmeric. The flavors are a bit sweet, a bit sour and a little bit spicy, and it's a great side dish for chicken or fish. This one is SED friendly, and now it's also Kosher for Passover friendly! Look how pretty it is! Adapted from Nourishing Meals. 1 medium onion, diced. Remove fro...

http://kitchenwithbrina.blogspot.com/2014/04/elimination-creativity.html

Baltimore, MD, United States. View my complete profile. April 1, 2014. Some of the meals I've made for the Elimination Diet have actually been so delicious (and easy! Skillet Salmon with Avocado Cucumber Salad. 2-4 salmon fillets, skin removed. 2 TBS olive oil. 2 ripe avocados, pitted and diced. 1 large cucumber, de-seeded and diced. Pre-heat the oven to 450 . After, flip the fillets over carefully, and place the skillet into the pre-heated oven, until the fish cooks through, about 7-8 minutes (depending...

Someone's in the Kitchen with Brina...: The Cherpumple

http://kitchenwithbrina.blogspot.com/2013/08/the-cherpumple.html

Baltimore, MD, United States. View my complete profile. August 14, 2013. I can't resist a baking challenge. That's why I loved my time in The Daring Bakers. A few years ago. Now, I don't have time for TDB, but I still love to challenge myself in the kitchen on occasion. A few years ago, someone introduced me to this monstrosity of a cake, the Turducken of desserts - the Cherpumple. So named for its CH. Pies baked inside of various cakes, all layered together, it's a huge and obscene dessert. Overall, it ...

Someone's in the Kitchen with Brina...: Threenager

http://kitchenwithbrina.blogspot.com/2013/12/threenager.html

Baltimore, MD, United States. View my complete profile. December 8, 2013. So I've been a bit lax about posting. What can I say? Life is busy. So busy, in fact, that I blinked and my baby turned 3. THREE! He's sweet, sassy, curious, funny and full of attitude some days. We call him our "threenager.". It came together really well, and it was surprisingly easy! The carving can be a bit of a challenge, but freezing the cakes made them easy to shape. I followed the advice on this website. 1/2 t kosher salt.

Someone's in the Kitchen with Brina...: Elimination Diet - aka "Boring"

http://kitchenwithbrina.blogspot.com/2014/03/elimination-diet-aka-boring.html

Baltimore, MD, United States. View my complete profile. March 19, 2014. Elimination Diet - aka "Boring". I craved bagels like I did when I was pregnant, and I started drooling when my coworkers ate candy. Slowly, the cravings went away, and I began to feel better. The big question I get these days is "What on earth do you eat! My diet consists of vegetables, chicken, fish, quinoa, rice, almond milk, GF oatmeal, nuts and water. Lots and lots of water. Vegan recipes, delicious! Follow me by Email.

Our Little Brick House: I've changed my mind - demolition is not as much fun as it appears on TV

http://ourlittlebrickhouse.blogspot.com/2013/02/ive-changed-my-mind-demolition-is-not.html

Our Little Brick House. Friday, February 8, 2013. I've changed my mind - demolition is not as much fun as it appears on TV. This photo shows the back door to the house and the original door to the basement. Here, you can see the entrance to the kitchen and the linen closet to the left. These two doorways shall become one. The scaffolding from below. This photo also illustrates the problem with the old stairs, where there was not enough clearance from the bottom steps to the bottom of the steel beam.

I guess I've been busy! Will have more details on that later - but for now, pie! For picking this recipe. This is a great recipe, but I'll be happy to get the rest of it to work tomorrow. Much too dangerous to have alone in the house with only me to eat it! Jenn H in San Diego. Links to this post.

have a nosh!: disastrous lasagna

http://nosh-nosh.blogspot.com/2010/03/disastrous-lasagna.html

Another great idea from Beth's blog. Originally from Gina's Weight Watcher Recipes. But it didn't turn out so well on my end! I added a package of veggie ground beef, which was a good thing - but Nick's not a big fan of spinach and ricotta cheese lasagna, and I wasn't a big fan of the precooked lasagna noodles that Mega Mart offered (should have bought the real noodles in Family Food, but I was holding out hope that I would find whole wheat noodles. ha! Better noodles might improve this recipe? Ladle sau...

Wednesday, December 04, 2013. Happy 10th Birthday, Caroline! I know, I never blog anymore. I look at it from time to time and feel terrible about not blogging. I'll even have a passing thought to blog about and then feel guilty that I've neglected for so long that I a silly little post isn't worth it. Anyway. Today you are TEN. 10! It might be a little crazy, but I think it will be a lot of fun. You cannot get enough of babies and I am amazed at how they are so taken with you. So happy birthday, Caroline!

Allison Holz | a blog about magic, cooking, and writing

A blog about magic, cooking, and writing. Cream Cheese Frosting, Conferences, and Characterization. Cream Cheese Vanilla Bean and Whipped Cream Frosting on Vanilla Bean and GF Chocolate Cupcakes. We had a potluck at work last week for the Fourth of July, and as usual, I volunteered to bring dessert. Oh The Places We Go. December 14, 2016. The Best of Television 2016. Long ago (not long ago, maybe fifteen years ago which is starting to feel like long ago) if someone would ask me what television shows do I like to watch, I would answer smugly I don’t watch television, I only watch films . Baltimore, MD, United States. View my complete profile. August 7, 2014. Since I've been on this Standard Elimination Diet (SED); however, it's not that simple. I can't eat anything from a restaurant, on the off-chance that it's been contaminated by something that will cause me to flare. Usually, I've found that nightshades are the culprit, as paprika, red pepper flakes, and cayenne are used very often as a spice.especially in falafel. Who knew! Along with spanakorizo and kounoupidi kapama (braised cauliflower) fasolakia. Greek word for green beans) are one of the simplest and tastiest meals you can make.
