Lorri's Knitting Link: Vacation Treasures
http://knitlink.blogspot.com/2008/07/vacation-treasures.html
Linking you to my newest adventures in knitting . . . Wednesday, July 09, 2008. I just got back from a 2 1/2 week trip to Pennsylvania and Maine to visit relatives. Overall we logged in 3100 miles of driving. I'm definitely glad to be back home. A Broken Gear Ring. Although many have suggested that this machine is beyond hope, I am hoping with a couple new parts that it might be usable. It would be nice to have that connection to the past. Any wisdom would be appreciated! That's a lot of driving!

Linking you to my newest adventures in knitting . . . Tuesday, February 14, 2006. Leaves In Relief Finished! 1 There were many times that I was tempted to alter some part of this pattern. I thought that this or that might look better another way. I always followed the pattern and realized that it always looked better as written. 4 Initially I thought that I did not like the leaf sleeves. Since making them they have really grown on me. I have been thinking of other things that I could make with th...I wou...

Lorri's Knitting Link: Unveiling the Peacock Feathers Shawl
http://knitlink.blogspot.com/2005/12/unveiling-peacock-feathers-shawl.html
Linking you to my newest adventures in knitting . . . Monday, December 12, 2005. Unveiling the Peacock Feathers Shawl. I used about 1000 yards of Alpaca Cloud in Iris from Knitpicks. And size 4 Addi Turbo needles. The finished size was 86 inches by 45 inches, almost the same as estimated in the pattern. The pattern is, of course, the Peacock Feathers Shawl from Fiddlesticks Knitting. Mary (from yahoo groups, mahnmd {at}yahoo{dot}com). I say you finished it in record time. It is soooooooooooo gorgeous!

http://knitlink.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Linking you to my newest adventures in knitting . . . Saturday, October 27, 2007. I have finally finished Katherine after a long 10 month journey. Granted more off than on a good bit of the time. I am actually wearing her as I write although she grew a bit during the blocking process. Even decreasing the pattern by one full repeat she falls to my midthigh. I am considering felting her a bit to give her a good all over shrinking. Next on my standed que is Shirt-Tail Hemmed Pullover from Sweaters From Camp.

Knitterary: July 2012
http://knitterary.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Where Stash and Slush Collide. Sunday, July 15, 2012. I'm going through one of those phases when I hate all my clothes and want everything new. I'm not a big shopper, and I generally like my clothes, so this is a pretty rare thing. Maybe once every eight years or so? Finished it a week ago, have already laundered it twice and worn it three times. I think this one will get a lot of wear. Very comfy in this blistering heat, so much cooler than pants or shorts. Where Stash and Slush Collide. Saturday, July 24, 2010. Danger Boy Dances in His Underwear. Testing out my new video camera. It's blurry. Or we're all drunk. Take your pick. Sunday, July 18, 2010. Taking It To the Mats. This picture makes my blocking look crooked, but it's really the picture that's wonky. I was standing on a chair with the camera held overhead, and the angle is funny. (Proving once again that I am a genius with a camera.). Labels: St. Brigid. Friday, July 16, 2010. Thursday, July 15, 2010.

Knitterary: Sheep! Baby Sheep!
http://knitterary.blogspot.com/2011/11/sheep-baby-sheep.html
Where Stash and Slush Collide. Thursday, November 24, 2011. It was my pleasure to test knit this pattern for Knifty Red, a/k/a Kris Carlson, a/k/a designer extraordinaire. The pattern is now live an on sale at ravelry ( ravlink to pattern. The head swallowed up a shocking amount of stuffing. But the end result is great - really, I can't say enough good about how this came together. It's going into the poor box at church for the Christmas toy drive. It will make some baby out there very happy,...Very well...
Knitterary: September 2010
http://knitterary.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Where Stash and Slush Collide. Tuesday, September 21, 2010. Simplicity at its Finest. One skein of yarn. One 4-row garter-based lace pattern. So I clipped it out. I figured I could find a spot in the ball where the color more or less matched the piece before the yarn transitioned to black. And I did, too. In the middle of the ball. I had to rip and reknit the end of this scarf four times to get it right. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Emma could not resist. "Ah! Ma'am, but there may be a difficulty. Par...

Knitterary: Goodbye, Gypsy Girls
http://knitterary.blogspot.com/2011/09/goodbye-gypsy-girls.html
Where Stash and Slush Collide. Sunday, September 25, 2011. Goodbye, Gypsy Girls. Jetted far away. I knew it was only a matter of time until the socks were goners. And when I pulled them on this morning, I ripped an inch-long hole in the back of the heel. Just, pfft, the fabric tore like wet tissue. No point darning them when they're practically disintegrating already, so these got pitched. I cant believe how much the color leeched out. They were so bright. September 27, 2011 at 8:07 AM. Where Stash and Slush Collide. Wednesday, July 20, 2011. So, our friend Tammi cleaned out her stash and gave away some of her yarn, including this gem. Malabrigo Chunky. Mmmmmm-malabrigo! This pointed cowl knit up in about 3 hours, but it doesn't look like the sample pattern on ravelry. ( Kerchief Cowl by Adrienne Krey. I don't care. I like it, and I'll be wearing it this winter. The end. And thank you, Tamalama, for a gorgeous skein of yarn. Monday, July 18, 2011. Momma's Got a Brand New Bag. The bag is...

Finishing a old project. I found a project that I started several years ago but never finished. Somehow it never came to an end. I just couldn't do it. Now however, I feel the urge to finish it. I am really in mood so to say. So I have started crocheting the squares together. It is supposed to be a blanket when it's finished. Upplagd av Lina Olofsson. Follow me on my knitting expeditions! May 29, 2009. 8212; ndscribbler @ 5:00 pm. May 28, 2009. 8212; ndscribbler @ 8:54 pm. Originally I guesstimated that this would take me about a week to knit, but to my surprise it took me 4 days! So there are quite a few differences between what the pattern called for and what I actually did.

Knit, style and je ne sais quoi since 2004. Why don't you.wear a horn? I blame diana vreeland. That fingernail moon of ivory looped through the tail of a flat, glittering gold chain is so impossibly chic. for the past couple of years, i've been wearing a little gold horn i bought for my husband back in the 80s. my italian-american mother-in-law gets a big kick out of it every time she sees it. do you know what that is,. She asks me. it's to protect you against the mah-loy-kya! Posted by knitlit kate.
