I knit, therefore I am." With apologies to Descartes (and to Latin purists), this blog will be an account of my knitting and writing projects, with perhaps some occasional glimpses into the rest of my life. Knitting saves my sanity. Wednesday, September 28, 2005. Well, here it is.my first attempt at designing my own knitted garment. A teeny, tiny little boy's first sweater. I was so happy with how it turned out, that I decided to be even braver and try something I had never made before, much less designed myself. It's a itsy bitsy baby bonnet. The feather and fan stitch makes such a pretty scalloped edge on the front and sides of the bonnet. It's really lovely. Posted by Me at 8:49 PM. I don't know if it's b...

July 18, 2009. So I’ve done some work on my WIPs for June, and I’ll talk about them later, but I wanted to record the Mossy Cobblestone Pullover. I knit for my dad. In April or so, WEBS was having a sale, and a spark of inspiration came to me! I would knit my dad a sweater for Christmas! I even had a pattern chosen! Then I started knitting. There was no reason to wait; sweaters take a long time… maybe I’ll finish it by his birthday (in September). A successful sweater, I think. Squishy! July 1, 2009.
