Been busy the last two months. I've finished over half of a simple lace shawl (the Invisibility Shawl from Charmed Knits) Unfortunately, I don't have any recent photos. Have a photo of my latest creation though! It's a sewing project! I hardly ever bust out the sewing machine, but I saw this cute pattern and had to make it.

Saturday, August 25, 2007. Finished a cool little winter hat for Kaylen today. It's a little too big for her still but that is a good thing. it. Fit her just right when winter arrives. Monkey was a very willing model. I think he liked it more than Kaylen. The pattern was the "cosy helmet" from the Patons booklet. Small Wonders - trendy accessories for cool kids". Monday, March 3, 2008. I finished Kaylen's Care Bear in time for her birthday next week! I hope she likes him (her? This was my very first Crochet project and I'm happy with the way it turned out. The clover on the tummy was supposed to be crocheted, but after my third frustrating and unsuccessful attempt, I just cut one out of felt and sewed it on! I know, I know, that's cheating, but I'm sure Kaylen won't mind. Knit and Purl Mama. I can't crochet for the life of me. March 4, 2008 at 8:00 AM.

Saturday, December 15, 2007. Sally Scarecrow is coming along nicely. I had to take a break from her while I was sewing Kaylen's Christmas Pajamas, but I'm back at it now. She's stuffed, and has a few bits added (panty frills and shoe straps). Her skirt is finished but the bottom edge is rolling up so badly that I'm going to have to add some sort of fold-over hem to the bottom. Saturday, April 12, 2008. My Sirius Black socks are finished! Can you tell that they're more than just plain black socks? I had this wonderful idea that my Sirius Black socks should be, well,. Unfortunately it has effectively hidden all my pattern work. I was able to get the prison numbers that run down the side of the cuff to sort of show up a tiny bit in this photo. There's also dog toes on the top of the foot (because Sirius Black turns into a black dog in the Harry Potter books). I think they're cute.

Tuesday, November 20, 2007. WARNING OWL CRASH LANDING. SINGLE SURVIVOR. Yes my OWL CRASH LANDED! The only survivor was the pattern and the to my dismayyyy the yarn has gone missing with NO HOPES of recovery. Rescue workers have no further leads. It seems like the flap on the envelope did not stay closed and was lifted up, so the yarn slipped out and the pattern was able to hang on. Talk about an excitement crusher! The pattern is very sweet! I am off to sulk for a bit in the magical archives of yarn.

So as I ran to the bathroom to stem the flow of blood J-man was worried. "Mama got boo boo? Yup little dude I have a boo boo - "J-man make happy? Aka I'll make you happy mom. Okay little man - I was not really paying attention here as I was focusing on not saying anything bad - ouch ouch ouch were not the first words to come to mind - lol. Way too cute :).

Sunday, August 9, 2015. Purple Pagosa Springs Scarf. I actually finished my second Pagosa Springs scarf (a Dayna Scoles pattern from Etsy) awhile ago - but getting the pictures onto my computer and water marked proves to take longer than the actual loom knitting. Sheesh. I blocked the scarf using an ironing board with a damp towel and an iron and the lacework really opened up and made the scarf large enough for an adult! Will I make this pattern again?
