Knitting With Looms

Sunday, August 9, 2015. Purple Pagosa Springs Scarf. I actually finished my second Pagosa Springs scarf (a Dayna Scoles pattern from Etsy) awhile ago - but getting the pictures onto my computer and water marked proves to take longer than the actual loom knitting. Sheesh. I blocked the scarf using an ironing board with a damp towel and an iron and the lacework really opened up and made the scarf large enough for an adult! Will I make this pattern again? Thanks for stopping by. Wednesday, July 8, 2015.

Knitting With Looms: January 2014

http://knittingwithlooms.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 12, 2014. Hello, and welcome to all my new followers! I have had my hat finished for awhile, and am presently working on a matching cowl. I just haven't had a chance to upload the hat pictures until today. The hat turned out quite nice - I'm happy with it and wear it a fair bit. I did a garter stitch brim, then switched to my Spiral Hat pattern. I posted about that HERE. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). All In One Loom. My Favourite Loom Knitting Sites. Knitting With Looms: February 2014

http://knittingwithlooms.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, February 13, 2014. Wow - I think this is probably the longest I've gone without looming and posting! I have only been puttering at the cowl I'm working on, but I do need to kick it up a notch. Both our daughters are expecting and my dear friend just became a Grandma to a sweet little baby boy. I picked up some 'boy' coloured yarn today, so need to get to work on looming a couple of baby blankets. I think I will do the stroller sized ones - they are so handy! Thanks for stopping by.

Knitting With Looms: July 2015

Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Smaller Pagosa Springs Scarf - WIP. I have finished all the increases and have started on the decreases. It's working out really well! Sunday, July 5, 2015. Finished Pagosa Springs Scarf. It's large enough to wear as a shawl, which was a happy surprise - and when it's knotted the sides are the same length. I have already started on a second one, and will soon post pictures of it. Thanks for stopping by. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). All In One Loom. My Favourite Loom Knitting Sites.

Knitting With Looms: My Pagosa Springs Scarf Progress

http://knittingwithlooms.blogspot.com/2015/06/my-pagosa-springs-scarf-progress.html

Saturday, June 20, 2015. My Pagosa Springs Scarf Progress. Thought I'd share how well my newest Loom Knitting project is coming along . I had a bit of a hiccup, when I was about 1/4 done and found the first loop had jumped off it's peg several rows previous. I tried frogging the project back to where I thought the loop should go but I wasn't positive and didn't want to mess up the pretty pattern with an obvious row error. So I frogged the whole thing and started again. Thanks for stopping by.

Knitting With Looms: Matching Hat is finished!

http://knittingwithlooms.blogspot.com/2014/12/matching-hat-is-finished.html

Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Matching Hat is finished! Since I've been down with the flu for over a week, I haven't had hardly any playtime this holiday. Usually I get to sit and knit and make cards and just play. However, last night hubby was at a hockey game so I pulled out my loom knitting and finished the hat I started a few weeks ago. I had a lot of yarn leftover from my Lacy Cowl ( CLICK HERE. To see that) so wanted to make a hat to match. It turned out really good - I'm so happy with it! I live in ...

The Fourth of July spirit. July 16, 2011. This design was advertised in the back of Creative Knitting early this summer, and I’ll bet I went to download it three or four times — then ended up debating why I’d pay for a simple combination of feather-and-fan and basketweave stitches. I ordered three skeins of rich, glossy UltraPima yarn, then looked at it for a couple weeks. And finally I went back to Desert Rose Designs and paid $6 for a pattern made up of stitches I already know by heart. May 26, 2011.

Sunday, February 17, 2013. Back in the saddle again! Well, my hand has finally healed enough from surgery to knit again! With some great patterns and a lot of encouragement from Jackie E-S of HeartStrings Fiber Arts. I have made some fun things. Gave me the courage to do something more challenging. My beautiful 19-yo granddaughter, Jenn, found a pattern for the SwirlyGig Hat at KnitPicks.com. That she really liked, so of course, this grandma HAD to make it! My current project is a pair of socks - for ME!

Just another WordPress.com site. July 18, 2012. I have recently discovered how beautiful buttons can be. Which is a shame because they are expensive! I’m posting a picture so that you can share the beauty! The words in the background were in a packet of buttons that i bought today. It says “I must not buy more buttons” which is true! On July 18, 2012. July 10, 2012. I bought this amazing purple yarn to knit a shawl to go with a dress that I hadn’t yet bought! If I love it I want it! On July 10, 2012.

Monday, April 7, 2014. How do you define failure? Failure is when you give up or just accept defeat. Or if you never try, or set out a goal in the first place. If you tried your hardest but you didn't make it, its OK. You can hold your head up high and say I did my every best and I'm proud of myself. How do you define success? I like this picture because that's how we all look when we finish a project and you know its amazing. Its the face of accomplishment. Monday, March 17, 2014. Monday, March 10, 2014.

Friday, July 18, 2008. Where has the time gone? Has it really been. I guess I just spend all my "blogging time" updating Kaylen's blog, so I never get around to posting anything here. Been busy the last two months. I've finished over half of a simple lace shawl (the Invisibility Shawl from Charmed Knits) Unfortunately, I don't have any recent photos. Have a photo of my latest creation though! It's a sewing project! I hardly ever bust out the sewing machine, but I saw this cute pattern and had to make it.
