Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Why did spring break have to end? This past week off from classes was exactly what I needed, but I am definitely not ready to start back today. Taking time off in the middle of the semester is a blessing and a curse. it's a good time to catch up on work and relax, but at the same time it's so hard coming back after a week of vacation (no matter how nice the weather is now). Being back in cedar rapids is pretty cool, especially now that it's FLUNKING SEASON! I'm pretty bummed th...

Cinnamon Moore: January 2015

http://www.kohawktalk-cinnamon.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Friday, January 30, 2015. Let me tell you what it was like being student body president aka SBP. Over this last year, I've served as Coe's SBP and it has been the most challenging, exhausting, rewarding, and terrific year. My VP and I focused on students' needs and we made huge strides in improving their Coe experience. We didn't back down when we faced opposition from within Senate and kept pushing to improve relations with faculty, staff, and students. Every setback is a setup for a comeback.

Cinnamon Moore: The Original Cinnamon

http://www.kohawktalk-cinnamon.blogspot.com/2014/11/the-original-cinnamon.html

Thursday, November 13, 2014. Fun fact: I'm named after my mother, so when she comes to visit it is extra spicy on campus. A couple weeks ago, I was lucky enough to have my mom and sister fly out to visit me for Family Weekend! They traveled all the way from Colorado Springs, CO to hang out with me for the weekend and I could not have been more excited. My older sister has never been to Iowa and it was awesome to watch her experience Coe and the Midwest for the 1st time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Cinnamon Moore: 'Tis the season

http://www.kohawktalk-cinnamon.blogspot.com/2014/11/tis-season.html

Thursday, November 13, 2014. It's beginning to look a lot like Autumn! Trees on the New Apartment Quad. Even though I LOVE the changes that come with the season, my favorite part of fall is Homecoming - the trees and leaves provide the perfect backdrop for some Kohawk football! Not to mention all that happens during Homecoming week like the parade, pep rally/coronation, and dance. Regardless of the weather, Homecoming season at Coe is truly spectacular. Representing as Student Body President in the Parade.

Cinnamon Moore: TOURS ON TOURS ON TOURS

http://www.kohawktalk-cinnamon.blogspot.com/2015/02/tours-on-tours-on-tours.html

Wednesday, February 25, 2015. TOURS ON TOURS ON TOURS. One of my favorite jobs at Coe is being a tour guide! Rain or shine, we will take prospies (prospective students) and their families around campus and it's awesome because no two tours are alike. I've given some tours that take 2 hours because the prospies are so excited that they want to see EVERYTHING and other families take 45 minutes on their tour because they only want to see essentials, but either way it's always an experience!

Kohawk Talk- Ryan: October 2013

Sunday, October 20, 2013. Phi Tau's Getting Ready for the Parade! This year, the weather was perfect for the parade, and it was amazing to see so many alumni and people of Cedar Rapids out there supporting. All of the Greek organizations on campus walked together and it was really cool seeing all of the different organizations having such a good time working together. Until the Next Adventure,. Kohawk Talk- Ryan: Busy weekend

http://kohawktalk-ryan.blogspot.com/2015/02/busy-weekend.html

Thursday, February 12, 2015. Working hard(or hardly working) during the visit weekend. After a very hectic Saturday full of visitors, all of campus was quiet on the following Sunday. One awesome tradition that happens every Sunday is half priced wings. A few of us will spend every Sunday afternoon at a local restaurant getting a good deal on some great food! I love spending my Sunday's with some of the greatest people on campus, and am gonna miss this when I graduate! Until The Next Adventure,.

Kohawk Talk- Ryan: September 2014

http://kohawktalk-ryan.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 26, 2014. The Beginning of Senior Year. Outside of Twins stadium. It is crazy to think that this is the beginning of my last year here at Coe. I am running Cross Country, as well as taking four classes including Environmental Law and Policy, which is becoming my favorite class. It is so nice having everyone back on campus, and I would not trade the family environment that is present here at Coe for anything. Last Homecoming as a Student! Until the Next Adventure,.

http://kohawktalk-hannah.blogspot.com/2014/10/oh-so-fancy.html

Friday, October 24, 2014. Oh, so fancy. As if all this love and support wasn't enough, we walked to our locker room after the game to hear our coach's post-game speech to find President McInally standing in the center of the room clapping and congratulating us all on an important conference win. He thanked us for working so hard and wished us luck in the rest of the season before yelling congratulations one more time and heading home. Happy Friday and much love,. Friday, September 26, 2014. How I Became A Kohawk. While now that I am a senior I call Coe my home, my home before Coe was Oskaloosa, Iowa. This is where I pondered my college decision. Did I want to go to a big school or a small school? Did I want to play a sport or did I just want to be a student? There are many questions when deciding what college to choose. Monday, January 26, 2015. I haven't blogged in a while, and now that we're back at school I figured I'll blog about my Christmas break! My Christmas break was full of all kinds of fun things. For Christmas, I traveled all over around Iowa. For New Year's I went to a friends cabin in NE Iowa to celebrate. But best of all, I went to Aspen! It was lots of fun! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Kohawk Talk- Ryan: April 2013

http://kohawktalk-ryan.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 25, 2013. All of us, with our free sunglasses! Coe College has some pretty awesome traditions, but in my opinion our best tradition is one that happens once every spring semester; Flunk Day. Flunk day is a day on campus where our president rewards us for all of the hard work we have put in throughout the year, and suprises us by cancelling classes for a whole day! This years flunk day came on the first really nice day of the year, and it was beautiful outside! Sunday, April 21, 2013.

Thursday, January 22, 2015. The past couple months have absolutely flown by and I'm sitting here wondering how in the world it is already the middle of January. Happy to spend Christmas with my baby sister! Wouldn't be Christmas Eve without footie pajamas! It is always great to be back in Urbandale, but Coe and all my friends here were definitely missed throughout the month! Monday, August 19, 2013. It has been a while, it is crazy that this whole summer is already over. It seems like just yesterday that I was taking finals, or watching graduation! This summer I was lucky enough to stay in Cedar Rapids, and to take a May Term Class where we went to Montana and learned all about policy involving resources in the west. Great Group of People to spend May Term With. Gonna miss views like this! There is always some sand volleyball going on at Coe during summer! What is cool is th...

A day in the life of a Kohawk- Alexis

Wednesday, April 23, 2014. I miss the days where I was 10 and I would wake up on Easter morning to look for a big Easter basket full of goodies and later an Easter egg hunt. Now that all of my sisters and I have grown up, we settle for a big Easter feast and our dad filling up our tank of gas before heading back to school- guess I can't really complain, can I? All laughs when my grandma comes into town! You can't go wrong with a couple Easter family Pictures. Wednesday, April 16, 2014. This day is one th...
