Hannah Torry: October 2014

http://www.kohawktalk-hannah.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html

Friday, October 24, 2014. Oh, so fancy. As if all this love and support wasn't enough, we walked to our locker room after the game to hear our coach's post-game speech to find President McInally standing in the center of the room clapping and congratulating us all on an important conference win. He thanked us for working so hard and wished us luck in the rest of the season before yelling congratulations one more time and heading home. Happy Friday and much love,. Friday, October 10, 2014. Because we don'...

Friday, November 14, 2014. Although it's only November, I am already thinking waaay too much about MAY TERM 2015. Studying abroad is something I have wanted to do ever since I was old enough to know what it meant and I have been waiting patiently ever since then. This summer, I decided the wait was over. I read through all the May Term abroad options and made list after list of all the awesome choices I had, weighing the pros and cons of each destination like my life depended on it. 65279;. I am triple...

Thursday, March 26, 2015. Hello and Happy Spring! Thank goodness warm weather is finally here. I wasn't sure how much longer I could handle the freezing cold walks to class and practice! Spring is my second favorite season simply because of all the awesome events that occur on Coe's campus in the spring. After being cooped up in the library and in our residence halls all winter, as soon as the weather gets warm again the Kohawks are ready for fun! Loving the warm Florida beach! As you can tell, the sprin...

Hannah Torry: Spring Break!

http://www.kohawktalk-hannah.blogspot.com/2015/03/spring-break.html

Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Although you'd never guess with the mountains of snow on the ground right now, warm weather is coming! But because my friends and I are all just a little impatient. we're taking the week of Spring Break to head somewhere just a little warmer, sunnier and sandier! Along with all the individual groups leaving Cedar Rapids for warmer destinations, there are many campus organizations with awesome Spring Break plans! I look forward to telling you all about my wonderful experience in ...

Wednesday, February 18, 2015. These past two weekends were Scholarship Weekend at Coe - two of my forever favorite weekends! We had approximately 400 prospective students, plus their families, visiting Coe on Friday and Saturday of last weekend and another 400 this past Sunday. People went on tours, interviewed for scholarships, met current students and lived the life of a Coe student for a weekend! Everyday here at Coe is an exciting new day to learn and grow, even when it's -20 degrees outside. I hope ...

This year, the weather was perfect for the parade, and it was amazing to see so many alumni and people of Cedar Rapids out there supporting. All of the Greek organizations on campus walked together and it was really cool seeing all of the different organizations having such a good time working together. Until the Next Adventure,. Kohawk Talk- Ryan: Busy weekend

http://kohawktalk-ryan.blogspot.com/2015/02/busy-weekend.html

Thursday, February 12, 2015. Working hard(or hardly working) during the visit weekend. After a very hectic Saturday full of visitors, all of campus was quiet on the following Sunday. One awesome tradition that happens every Sunday is half priced wings. A few of us will spend every Sunday afternoon at a local restaurant getting a good deal on some great food! I love spending my Sunday's with some of the greatest people on campus, and am gonna miss this when I graduate! Until The Next Adventure,.

Friday, September 26, 2014. The Beginning of Senior Year. Outside of Twins stadium. It is crazy to think that this is the beginning of my last year here at Coe. I am running Cross Country, as well as taking four classes including Environmental Law and Policy, which is becoming my favorite class. It is so nice having everyone back on campus, and I would not trade the family environment that is present here at Coe for anything. Last Homecoming as a Student! Until the Next Adventure,.

Did I want to go to a big school or a small school? Did I want to play a sport or did I just want to be a student? There are many questions when deciding what college to choose. Monday, January 26, 2015. I haven't blogged in a while, and now that we're back at school I figured I'll blog about my Christmas break! My Christmas break was full of all kinds of fun things. For Christmas, I traveled all over around Iowa. For New Year's I went to a friends cabin in NE Iowa to celebrate. But best of all, I went to Aspen! It was lots of fun! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Kohawk Talk- Ryan: April 2013

http://kohawktalk-ryan.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 25, 2013. All of us, with our free sunglasses! Coe College has some pretty awesome traditions, but in my opinion our best tradition is one that happens once every spring semester; Flunk Day. Flunk day is a day on campus where our president rewards us for all of the hard work we have put in throughout the year, and suprises us by cancelling classes for a whole day! This years flunk day came on the first really nice day of the year, and it was beautiful outside! Sunday, April 21, 2013.

Monday, August 19, 2013. It has been a while, it is crazy that this whole summer is already over. It seems like just yesterday that I was taking finals, or watching graduation! This summer I was lucky enough to stay in Cedar Rapids, and to take a May Term Class where we went to Montana and learned all about policy involving resources in the west. Great Group of People to spend May Term With. Gonna miss views like this! There is always some sand volleyball going on at Coe during summer! What is cool is th...

http://kohawktalk-ryan.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html

Wednesday, March 27, 2013. So good to be back! This past saturday, we had our first outdoor track meet at Augustana! Like always, it was great to get to watch all of my other teammates race, and support them. Awesome having a close friend supporting me at my first meet back 3. At this meet, I was honestly more nervous than I have been in a very long time, what if my leg got worse? What if I couldnt even finish the race? What if I got last? Until the Next Adventure, Ryan Rey. Still have some work to do!

A day in the life of a Kohawk- Alexis

Wednesday, April 23, 2014. I miss the days where I was 10 and I would wake up on Easter morning to look for a big Easter basket full of goodies and later an Easter egg hunt. Now that all of my sisters and I have grown up, we settle for a big Easter feast and our dad filling up our tank of gas before heading back to school- guess I can't really complain, can I? All laughs when my grandma comes into town! You can't go wrong with a couple Easter family Pictures. Wednesday, April 16, 2014. This day is one th...

Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Why did spring break have to end? This past week off from classes was exactly what I needed, but I am definitely not ready to start back today. Taking time off in the middle of the semester is a blessing and a curse. it's a good time to catch up on work and relax, but at the same time it's so hard coming back after a week of vacation (no matter how nice the weather is now). Being back in cedar rapids is pretty cool, especially now that it's FLUNKING SEASON! I'm pretty bummed th...

Hailley's Adventure at Coe College

Final Reflections: Four Years Later. This is it. The final post. There are some days when I want to go back four years and find a younger Hailley just beginning to explore campus. If I could tell her one thing, I would say, "Be patient. Good things are headed your way.". It seems nearly impossible. It's on the blog platform Tumblr, which allows me to reblog items related to the library science field for a more professional/personal blog all rolled into one. Labels: a note from Hailley. Graduation weekend was beautiful with warm, sunny weather and lots of friends and family. My apartment is empty and my roommates are gone. It is all really sad and I will miss Coe dearly. Saturday, April 19, 2008. One final Flunk Day! Each spring the President of Coe College cancels a random day of class. This day is called "Flunk Day," a tradition of the college that, of course, continues to thrive at Coe! It was awesome. I could probably write about this year's FD for quite some time, but we all know the saying "a picture speaks 1,000 words," right? To the left is the foam party! There was a DJ and food for everyone still having fun on the quad.all night long! Welcome to Week 2! This we...
