Hailley's Adventure at Coe College

Final Reflections: Four Years Later. This is it. The final post. There are some days when I want to go back four years and find a younger Hailley just beginning to explore campus. If I could tell her one thing, I would say, "Be patient. Good things are headed your way.". It seems nearly impossible. It's on the blog platform Tumblr, which allows me to reblog items related to the library science field for a more professional/personal blog all rolled into one. Labels: a note from Hailley. Hailley's Adventure at Coe College: New York Term

http://www.kohawktalk-hailley.blogspot.com/p/new-york-term.html

Below, I've created a database of sorts containing information on several aspects of my experience. I'll start with the basics, such as where I stayed and where I worked and then give a brief overview of the required, class events I attended and other things in the city I was able to enjoy. A Trader Joe's, a Fairway Market. The New York Public Library. This was my dream internship because I'm planning on pursuing a graduate degree in library science. I found this internship through one of our New Yor...

A Day In Hailley's Life. This post is somewhat out of the blue, but I just had to share today with you. I guess Im feeling a little nostalgic for Coe, in the sense that I would have hundred of days just like this one in the future. Unfortunately, I wont since graduation is quickly approaching. Labels: a day in the life. A note from Hailley. All warm and cozy in our sweaters. Let me explain. An inside joke Millie and I have centers around muffins and our love for them. Hailley's Adventure at Coe College: November 2013

http://www.kohawktalk-hailley.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html

On March 11, 2013 I asked myself if I could make it to 500 posts by graduation. Wow March Hailley that looks like a challenge. A challenge I'm laughing at now. Because yes, I did indeed make it to 500 posts. You're reading the 500th post right now. I'm a little jazzed to say the least. Want to take a quick trip down memory lane? See my other hundredth post celebrations:. A note from Hailley. Our theater is built in a round but what is even cooler is the way we make sets. My favorite tours occur when ...

Hailley's Adventure at Coe College: February 2014

http://www.kohawktalk-hailley.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html

So it's been a crazy week at Coe. I have two tests tomorrow and all of my time today and tonight will be devoted to getting ready for those tests. Will write again and explain my week more fully once these tests are over and Spring Break is here! Labels: a note from Hailley. After way too much snow, the weather warmed up (the 30s). This meant lighter jackets and lots of puddle hopping. We keep crossing our fingers for spring to arrive earlier, especially since our Spring Break is around the corner. Well,...

Homecoming Recap Part I. This week FLEW by, especially with Homecoming events at the end of the week. This was one fantastic Homecoming and this is part one of my recap. I've got some photos to share now and I'll have more a little bit later. Besides, there was too much awesomeness to have only one post! From Coe's Facebook page. Then, on Friday night, I got the chance to hang out with some Lambda Chis and.MILLIE! After Daniel Arthur's, it was back to Coe for the Pep Rally. The cheerleaders got us fi...

A Fly Ball to Left Field: A Coe College West Coast Baseball Adventure. Tuesday, June 10, 2014. What's not to love about that? It was a bittersweet moment. After you travel with people for more than 100 hours in a van and cover more than 6000 miles, you definitely bond with them. We saw a lot of really good baseball and I know, I learned a lot about the game and myself. Signing off, the blog captain and the eighth inning stretch crew. Some Baseball Related Summer Reading. The Coe Writing Center: Quotation Time with Ursula Le Guin: Part II

The Coe Writing Center. The Mecca of Random Conversations! Thursday, July 31, 2014. Quotation Time with Ursula Le Guin: Part II. So, in case it's not apparent at this point, I really like Ursula Le Guin. And she's intelligent. And verbose. And a badass. Also, the library apparently has a copy of another book on writing by her which I have not read so. there may be another set of Ursula Le Guin quotes popping up later. Fair warning. It is curious that evidence for what looks like an aesthetic sense- a des...

The Coe Writing Center. The Mecca of Random Conversations! Sunday, December 29, 2013. Attending the MWCA Conference. NOTE: This is a previously written post just published a little later. It's that wonderful time of year again: the weather is starting to get colder, college students are being driven insane by midterms, and the first writing center conferences are taking place! Attending a conference also means presenting one ourselves! Friday, December 27, 2013. But, in our defense, with the end of the s...

Previous to this game he had only allowed one home run over the three starts he had, after today he will have tied the season high for runs allowed, five. Norris would retire from this game in the fifth inning after being hit by a line drive hitting his forearm hit by Mitch Moreland. The top of the fourth had a great play that unfolded ri...

Friday, April 24, 2015. I just want to take a moment to let you know about all of the activities that go on at Coe on a weekly basis! The best part about these activities is that they're all FREE, and put on by Coe! Most are on campus, but there are also free or cheap activities off campus! On campus, every Friday and Saturday night, there are different events going on in the PUB. These events include musicians, slam poets, comedians, movie nights, dances, speakers and more! A day in the life of a Kohawk- Alexis

Wednesday, April 23, 2014. I miss the days where I was 10 and I would wake up on Easter morning to look for a big Easter basket full of goodies and later an Easter egg hunt. Now that all of my sisters and I have grown up, we settle for a big Easter feast and our dad filling up our tank of gas before heading back to school- guess I can't really complain, can I? All laughs when my grandma comes into town! You can't go wrong with a couple Easter family Pictures. Wednesday, April 16, 2014. This day is one th...

Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Why did spring break have to end? This past week off from classes was exactly what I needed, but I am definitely not ready to start back today. Taking time off in the middle of the semester is a blessing and a curse. it's a good time to catch up on work and relax, but at the same time it's so hard coming back after a week of vacation (no matter how nice the weather is now).
