It's Unspeakably Beautiful... Limerick

It's Unspeakably Beautiful. Limerick. Thursday, May 19, 2011. I left my heart in Ireland. When I first came to Ireland I was welcomes with the phrase, "Céad míle fáilte romhat". Now I am back in New York and I long to be back in the Emerald Isle. I don't know what I want to do for school, or for work. I feel as if summer gives me so many goals to pursue, from books to catch up on to things that I want to learn. Words cannot describe how much I want to go back. It was truly the best experience of my life.

It's Unspeakably Beautiful. Limerick. Thursday, May 5, 2011. Italia Bella VI: Florence. Florence at night and during the day is one of the most beautiful places I saw in Italy. We arrived in Florence late and we could not find our Hostel. We were convinced it did not exist. We found a guarda and thank goodness for him. He walked us down the street we walked three times and we found the place. The man was not a bit nice when we finally got there but we had a place to sleep for the night.

It's Unspeakably Beautiful. Limerick. Thursday, May 5, 2011. Italia Bella V: Rome. We left Naples at a reasonable time and we were off to Rome. Before we left though I spread a peace rock. I wrote my Grandma's name on the back of it. I was thinking about her the whole time in Italy. I thought about her with everything I did and each time I woke up and went to bed. I left it right in a flower pot under a palm tree. She always wanted to have a summer birthday, and she was great at growing flowers. Before h...

It's Unspeakably Beautiful. Limerick. Thursday, May 5, 2011. Italia Bella VII: Pisa. The leaning tower of Peace-a. We arrived in Pisa not too late. Our hostel was not in a bad area, nor was it far from the train station, thank goodness. We ate at a very nice restaurant knowing that it would be our last meal in Italia. It was delicious. We got lunch an then we went the leaning tower. The leaning tower was actually really funny. I think it was one of my favourite things I saw in Italy. Italia Bella V: Rome.

It's Unspeakably Beautiful. Limerick. Thursday, May 5, 2011. Italia Bella IV: Sorento. April 17: It is not an adventure without an obstacle, but what a beautiful day! Our plan was originally to head down the Almalfi Coast, but plans changed and we stayed in Sorento for the day. I would have loved to see Capri or the coast, but non-the-less the day was spent shopping and relaxing. The town is beautiful! Flowers were blooming everywhere and you could tell that hotels we expensive. Italia Bella VII: Pisa.

Learning to Wait | Sharing my struggles and joys while waiting on God's timing.

Sharing my struggles and joys while waiting on God's timing. I’m a 34-year-old daughter, sister, Military wife, survivor of childhood abuse, child of the living God, soon to be mom, trying to figure out how to navigate through this life while keeping my eyes on the prize of an eternity free of pain and struggles. Past waits that didn’t meet my plans. 1 I waited approximately 4 1/2 years for my neighbor to move away and the childhood abuse I endured at his hands to end. 3 I was 27 before I met my husband.

Websites to check out. Alan Hirsch: ReJesus: A Wild Messiah for a Missional Church. Walk Thru the Bible: Your Daily Walk. One of the amazing things about my job is the privilege that I have of spending time with such a wide range of people.  Almost always this includes praying with people, and today has been no different. When I was thinking about what I would write today I flicked my bible open at John 12.  In the NIV, verses 37-50 are given the heading. The Jews Continue in Their Unbelief. 0160;And eve...

One Widow's Journey

Wednesday, October 3, 2012. How Long Have I Been Lost? Have you ever walked through your life and been utterly unaware of changes inside of you? Changes that you didn't notice because just dealing with your everyday life took every bit of your conscious effort? A couple of years ago, I would have adamantly declared that this description had nothing to do with me. I would even have argued the point. But I would have been wrong. When did I see you hungry and feed you? Counting on the Lord to sustain me.

LEARNING TO WALK IN HEELS

Sunday, May 1, 2016. So here we go.31 days of reminding myself that everyone -myself included - is doing the best they can. And following that reminder up with another reminder to offer kindness and compassion and respect instead of being judgy and disconnected. And then following both of those up with an offering of light and love to those who brought me to this point. Myself included. Links to this post. Thursday, April 14, 2016. It's time for another 12 of 12 post! How boring for him. 12 My people&#46...

Learning to Walk in Heels. Pushing Back the Darkness. Filed Under: Live Out Your Calling. Like Bilbo Baggins, my life is considered to be very respectable. I rarely have any adventures or do anything unexpected as that is not acceptable behavior for the Bagginses or for me. However, also like Bilbo, the Wizard has knocked on the door of my heart and summoned me on an unexpected journey. At the end of my journey, there is…. Be willing to give. What can I do to make the world a better place? All of us one ...

Learning to Walk in Heels

Learning to Walk in Heels. Tuesday, 24 January 2012. January. Traditionally the most boring month of the year. After a manic weekend with F in London, I arrived back to Bucharest to chaos at the luggage carousel, an argument (in Romanian) with a couple of thieving taxi drivers who wanted to charge me five times the fare to get back from the airport, and part of my flat reduced to rubble where my landlord had decided to rip the bathroom out. Welcome to Romania. Happy New Year. Or maybe I'm just getting old.
