After a very dry spring and summer it rained the day before they arrived for their two week holiday with us. Jan and Paul in Spain 2013. Wednesday, 27 November 2013. 25 November 2013 – Bernia Forat. A good turn out on a sunny but very cold morning for this old favourite. It takes about an hour of steady climb to reach the forat, good pace fast enough to warm us up. Going through the forat is the worse part of the walk, but the view the other side makes it well worth while. We always stop here for our banana break. Lots of space to sit, usually a sun trap and wonderful views of the coast. 01 - MC - Marnes Circuit.

Jan and Paul in Spain 2014. Thursday, 12 June 2014. 8-9 June 2014 – Vall de Gallinera. This two day walk was organised by Gail of the U3A Wednesday Wanderers. The aim was to walk the 14 km route between Beniramma and Benissili and visit the eight villages in between. Gail had booked accommodation for the twelve members of the group in the picturesque village of Benissiva, which is about midway between Beniramma and Benissili. It was fortunate that though hot, it was not as hot as earlier in the week.

Jan and Paul in Spain 2016. Sunday, 28 February 2016. 25 February 2016 – Pedreguer to Castell d’Aixa. The meeting place for this walk is not easy to find is on a small street, not the easiest place to find if you have not done the walk before. So we arranged to meet at the cemetery in Pedreguer! Not the most appropriate place, but one of the easiest to find. We were fortunate to have a bright, if chilly, morning for our walk. This walk starts with a long, though not too steep, ascent from the village.
