Welcome: 2010.01
http://prescottplace.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
January 29, 2010. I'm so excited that this coming Sunday we are having Sayla Grace's Baby Dedication at our church! Our church, Liberty Park Baptist, means the world to us, and we are so excited to FINALLY get to introduce our little girl to our church family. Owen and I began attending LP when we started dating, knowing that God was the most important part of our relationship. So come Sunday, we will finally get to introduce our Bitty to everyone! We were so proud to hear that! Still a work in progress!

August 26, 2010. Most everyone knows, but just in case you haven't heard, Avery Faith was born on August 18th! Stats and details to come later, along with lots of updates on our little adventure into a family of four! But everyone is doing well, and she is quite the little angel. Big sister, Sayla Grace, is absolutely in love with her - minus the few episodes of jealousy every now and then. I just never imagined how crazy things become when you add a second baby to the mix. August 17, 2010. Avery has dro...

November 1, 2010. Is It Tuesday Yet? You think you’re having a case of the Monday’s? 160; I bet I got you beat! 160; Picture this…. 4am: Avery wakes for her standard 4am bottle. She calmly takes 5ozs, eyes closed the whole time, and goes peacefully back to bed. As does Mommy. 5am: Avery SCREAMS. (The girls share a room, mind you). I figure it’s just gas, and that she’ll go back to sleep. She SCREAMS again! 160; Ok, not gas. Mommy’s up. 5:10am: I sit Sayla Grace down in the rocker that is be...

January 12, 2012. Our Week in Cloth. This post might be a bit scatterbrained. It's been a while since my last post, and I'm tired. But I feel the need to write down some of my experiences with cloth diapering the girls, so I can either look back and laugh at myself, or maybe be proud that I accomplished something that seemed so daunting. I've yet to determine which it will be, but here goes. Realizing how much money we could be saving each month - or in my mind - spending on something I don't have to thr...
Welcome: Real Food - Day 1
http://prescottplace.blogspot.com/2011/08/real-food-day-1.html
August 29, 2011. Real Food - Day 1. Sunday marked our first day of "Real Food" - nothing processed, and if it must come from a package it can only have 5 ingredients or less with 100% WHOLE grains (and preferably no sugar). The thought being that the more ingredients a product has, the more processed it has been, thus containing too many preservatives. Here's a review of the " Rules. In case you're late to the party. They were surprisingly good! A little flat (need more baking powder I think). I'm cheati...

September 8, 2011. Real Food - Day 11. We are on day 11 of our Real Food challenge. I know I said it was a 10 day challenge, but I also said I would blog about it daily. And well, you see how that went! Life intervened. But now that we're done with the first 10 days, I can give you a recap! Forgive my horrible memory, though. I'll do the best I can. The first few days were difficult. O and I were NOT excited while all that sugar left our system. But we muscled through it. The girls didn't kno...Breakfast...

November 30, 2009. Things have really been going great since the surgery. I am sorry it has taken me almost 2 weeks to update you! Sayla Grace's surgery was a huge success! Before, she wasn't having bowel movements, and was screaming a lot because her tummy hurt. And now she's pretty regular, and very pleasant. Except for around 9p every night. She cries like clockwork from around 9p to 12a or 1a. She's pretty inconsolable during this time, and it really tries our patience. Also, if you are on Facebook, ...

Thursday, June 2, 2011. In March my best friend Lauren got married in Georgia and had her reception at Reynolds Plantation and the wedding was so much fun. Welcome to our site. Thank you for visiting, In 1991 at the age of twenty-one whilst praying in the lord's presence, a gentle voice spoke to me. He has continued to transmit his message of love and mercy to me for the past twenty years and continues to do so. Letters from the Loux's
Letters from the Loux's. Tuesday, August 11, 2015. This has been one of our best parenting wins yet. These little pieces of paper that I wrote and drew basic drawings with markers! Who would have thunk it? I have been aware of the idea of chore charts for a while now from various mom's groups as well as flipping through Pinterest. I really wish I would have created and implemented. One a long time ago! We don't have to wipe hineys, give baths, blow noses or put their shoes on! They can do it! Back to the...

letters from the lunchroom | A family adventure to the country
Letters from the lunchroom. A family adventure to the country. When I am in the garden picking flowers, I tend to get distracted by the strawberries warming in the sun and eat a few mouthfuls. And then I see beauty like this. My girls are home full time too and not in any camps since mid July. Obviously I was having some crazy parenting lapse when I was planing our summer, so we’ve been doing a lot of this. And a little of this. And some of this. I’ve done a little bit but not enough of this. And here is...

Letters from the Mezzanine
How ‘Kill Move Paradise’s’ Set Reflects Radical Possibilities. A young, black man appears suddenly at the far end of a prism-like corridor, gasping for air. He regains his composure and explores his surroundings. The entire corridor is mirrored except for two long rectangular openings on his left and right. Through these openings he spots the audience, which sits on either side, facing each other, staring into the corridor. He seems simultaneously pleased and uncomfortable to see us there. Even though it...

Letters from the Middle East. November 22, 2012. Lifting subsidies in Jordan. In Dhiban, south of the capital Amman, protesters burnt pictures of King Abdullah II; in Salt protesters destroyed cars outside the Prime Minister’s home; and in Amman thousands of protesters outside the Interior Ministry echoed chants from Egypt and Tunisia demanding: “The people want the fall of the regime.” ( source. At its peak, over 10,000 people gathered in Amman after Friday prayers ended. The government has justified th...
