Life With The Hedricks. Thursday, August 12, 2010. Okay So, here is the recipe for the Chicken Salad I was raving over. FYI: It's not mine- my sister Krysten made it when I was visiting last week so she definitely deserves the credit! So here it is.* If you know me, you know that I don’t measure most the time so this is all you and how you want it to taste* Just have fun with it! Rotisserie Chicken OR chicken prepared anyway you like (fried, sautéed, boiled, leftovers.etc.). Dill seasoning (to taste).

Broome Breviary: July 2010
http://broomebreviary.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 11, 2010. A few days ago, we had the opportunity to help in the transport of African refugees from the airport to their new home. Refugees are individuals fleeing their home country for religious, racial or political reasons. Our first experience serving these people was amazing - awesome, awkward, emotional, exciting, a true blessing. I pray that they can see Christ through her service and love for them. Our schedules right now are pretty tight, so I have been just thinking through how we c...

Thursday, February 3, 2011. What's in a name? For months we have been considering a name for our baby girl. I am Italian, have a very strong Sicilian influence via my Dad’s side, we have visited Italy and love the country (hope to go back! So even before we knew it was a girl, we were considering Italian names. To be honest, most Italian boy names are a little over the top for us, so I am not sure we will be able to find a boy name if we ever have a boy. This is her name! A few nights ago, as we were dis...

Friday, April 9, 2010. It is me, K, writing right now, and I have much to say, but don’t really know what to say? So what do I hope to contribute to this blog, what am I and what can I share with others? Sometimes I am afraid to classify myself as something if I am not an “expert.” Yet, I think I am one of those people who is good (or decent) at many things but perhaps not a stand out at any one. What is better? Here are some of my pictures. I am a web designer who did not major in web design. My pre...

Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Lately, I have really enjoyed writings and speaking sessions by Paul David Tripp. Something that stands out to me about Tripp’s teaching is his focus that our issues as believers ultimately being heart issues, especially concerning relationships. How can I expect my horizontal relationships to grow and flourish if my vertical relationship, the most important, the relationship with my Father, is lacking? Surprisingly after this introduction, relationships are not what I want to blog...

Broome Breviary: New Year’s Non-Resolutions
http://broomebreviary.blogspot.com/2011/02/new-years-non-resolutions.html
Wednesday, February 2, 2011. New Year’s Non-Resolutions. Another year to celebrate and be thankful for. When I approach the new year, I always wonder what God has in store for it. The controlling part of me wants to know every detail so I can try to plan for it, but the Lord knows better and knows I need to rely on Him, so there is another part of me that is thankful that it is all in His trustworthy hands. Do those words even belong in the same sentence? Here are some pictures of the progress. So our on...

Life with the Hardman's
Life with the Hardman's. Tuesday, July 8, 2014. Dear Montana, you have a lot to live up to. Sincerely, Alaskan grown. Tonight I drove my brother to the airport at 11:30pm. On my way home I looked around and noticed how beautiful it was outside. It's still light outside. And there were beautiful orange and pinks running across the sky. At that exact moment the song 'Home' by Phillip Phillips came on. Talk about an emotional moment. Here I found so many different kinds of 'families'. My Mary Kay family:.

Monday, April 2, 2018. Before Christmas I mentioned how I was obsessed with using ice trays in our homeschooling. Spoiler alert: I still am). Through my love for ice trays, I also developed a weird love for toothbrushes.so strange, I know! Using toothbrushes has been such a fun, and honestly really cheap, way to interact and engage in our learning. Here are some ways that we use toothbrushes in our home classroom:. First go to Pinterest. This is such an easy way to take one activity sheet and make it a f...

Our Crazy Life
It may not be perfect, possibly a little messy, definatly loud, busy and crazy. But we love it and wouldn't have it any other way! Monday, January 11, 2010. Here are a few pictures of our third precious baby girl. She wasn't being to cooperative during her photo sessions so I don't have a lot. She kept her hands at her face most of the time and when she was done she turned and showed us her back and completely hid her face. Feet and legs up by her face. Full face with the cord across her mouth. I can't b...

Life with the Hildebrands
Thursday, March 29, 2018. February 2018 in pictures. Vienna's next round of baby bunnies! Vienna with her two best friends at school. I don't know if I mentioned it on my blog, but my sister and her family had to suddenly leave Turkey last summer. It has been really hard not having them right next door anymore and we all miss them terribly. But what fun it was to have Melanie and our sis-in-law, Rachael, here to stay with us for a week in February! So good to be back together again! So sad to see them go!
