Knit Me Now Yarn | linen&string
https://linenandstring.wordpress.com/2013/04/23/knit-me-now-yarn
April 23, 2013. Knit Me Now Yarn. My sister, Senja (Sen-ya), dyes some seriously gorgeous yarn. Last time I saw her she let me pick a skein of her new DK weight yarn to test out. Lucky me! I cast on a cute, slouchy, cabled hat that I had been dreaming about and finished it up a few days later. I just couldn’t put it down! The pattern is called Molly. I just love how soft and squishy this new yarn is. If you love yourself some yarn, go check out Senja’s Etsy shop KnitMeNow. Excuses. →. You are commenting ...

Knitting, parenting, working, living in northern Minnesota. KD’s new hat →. Tea Leaves for Miss M. January 24, 2012. Before the holiday’s I was thinking a lot about this sweater which is Madelinetosh’s Tiny Tea Leaves pattern. Miss M was having a tough day and complaining about how I only “care about the boys” Yes we are getting to the pre-teen stage here why do you ask? So much to look forward too, now to get through my next stretch of nights. Maybe he will be a photographer when he grows up. The sweate...

Stitching together the light of other days. Pieces of stars, pieces of eight. The Stargazing blocks have stabilised at eight: number nine is negative space instead. Earlier this week:. And by the end of the weekend all the pieces of all of the blocks were cut and chosen! O, overwhelming choice. Adding extra fabric halfway through might not have helped with that😉 (sigh Bloomerie fabrics. good place to web-shop.). Kona solids in Cerise, Pomegranate, Candy Pink. http://filminthefridge.com/2013/01/11/glimma-waterfall-giveaway
Film in the Fridge. Glimma waterfall ( giveaway! January 11, 2013. I had the opportunity to sew with Lotta Jansdotter’s upcoming line for Windham Fabrics. Glimma, recently. I showed you one quilt I made using this line, a fun wonky cross quilt. Made to show off the great colors in this line. I was having so much fun using her new line that I started right in on a second quilt, this time setting those prints in a sea of white. This quilt was certainly harder to put together than the first! I love these fa...

Living Parenting Working Knitting in the Northwoods. Friday, January 14, 2011. So the end of 2010 was a little hectic. As you might see from the header pic, we were living in the camper until the beginning of December. I finally was able to get DH to let us stay in a hotel for a few days and once that happened we never did go back into the camper. Thank goodness! We have now gone from this. Yes actual progress on the house as in there is one. Yay! This is Miss M's mouse, I don't think she has named her.

Wednesday, February 6, 2013. For those of you that know me, I have a fondness for neutral colors and if asked, my favorite color is brown. When I was about four my mom dressed me in an all brown (dark chocolate to be specific) polyester dress, brown stockings and brown patten leather shoes all of which I hated! I would cry every time she forced me to wear this getup, tears of pure pain and suffering would flow! Now of course, I would probably love it (I will never admit that to my mom however). If it loo...

Linen and Tea Home
Welcome to Linen and Tea. Tea Wheel and Journal. Tea Wheel and Journal. The History of Tea. Tea is nearly 5000 years old and is thought to have been discovered in 2737 B.C. by Chinese Emperor Shen Nung when a leaf from a nearby bush fell into a bowl of hot water the emperor was drinking. It wasn't until the 17th century that tea became popular in Europe and the American colonies. We can all probably remember the famous Boston Tea Party. Powered by Network Solutions.
