Little House in the Big Park

I'm a grown unschooler and wife of a park ranger, who spends a large amount of time hiking Griffith Park, exploring Los Feliz and Hollywood, and crocheting, knitting and working on other DIY/heritage arts projects. This blog is about all that and whatever else comes up as I make my life here in the Little House in the Big Park.

http://littlehouseinthebigpark.blogspot.com/2015_12_01_archive.html

Thursday, December 31, 2015. There comes a point in every craft-supply-collector's life when she needs a new organizational system. I've been sewing lately and have acquired quite a bit of fabric. Plastic bags in my closet has stopped being an effective storage method, so. thanks to Pinterest, I am filing all the pieces! I bought clear file boxes, took hanging file folders, cut them in half, folded and draped the fabric over the file! I discovered fabric I forgot I had! 1 large can crushed tomatoes.

ATC's with water colors and sharpies. Saturday, December 7, 2013. Another batch of atc's. ATC's - sharpies and water colors. I have recently been making Artist Trading Cards (ATC's). I need a place to display them before I trade them, so I figure I'll sprinkle them in here! This first set has a history. I added some water colors, too.

Do’s and Don’ts. Circle Chats and Panels. Do’s and Don’ts. Is from New Mexico, where she and her husband raised three grown kids with no schooling. Sandra graduated from high school at 16, and went to university to be an English teacher in her home town for six years. The choice to begin unschooling came easily to the Dodd family, as they were living non-traditionally in many ways already, and were bravely willing to try something with no promise of success. When Jennifer’s first baby became school aged,...

Little House in the Big 'Burbs

Tuesday, April 13, 2010. The button wall at Tricoter. In Seattle: one of my favorite destinations within one of my favorite destinations. It could very well be Disneyland to me. A visit to the button wall means that I've recently completed a knitted item. Beth. Instead of the originally intended Pagan. Hopefully, it will be a versatile piece. With help from Ola, I settled on these horn buttons and decided to apply them with the wrong side facing out. I love my local yarn store ;). Posted by The Big Burbs.

Little House in the Big D. Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Yea sorry I didn't mean to drop the bomb of "Hey we're knocking down our house and building new.
