An ongoing blog of my time in Japan. The Real Life Pokémon Center. June 23, 2015. Pokémon was a huge part of my life as a child, and I’ve known about the Pokémon Centers in Japan for a long time, but back when I was little, I never dreamed I’d actually be able to go to one, let alone multiple! In hindsight, I probably spent a little too much money on … More The Real Life Pokémon Center. The Real Life Pokémon Center. June 23, 2015. June 23, 2015. Vending Machines in Japan. June 23, 2015. May 30, 2015. Tech Review – SnapAsk. Middot; June 21, 2015. Koto Koto was incredibly fun to play! I have to admit, I went back and found a way to download it and shrieked with glee! It confuses me that so many really cool games in Japan haven’t been introduced to the US market. I was elated to see iNiS partnered with Zynga (the creators of Words With Friends) to put out a game for international markets (I believe it was Eden of Green). I hope there are more releases to the US like this!

Pictures of my wanderings. View thejaidai’s profile on Instagram. Adventure to Mt. Fuji… Or a Hotel Roof. May 29, 2015. So during the planningof our adventure to Fuji we expected to get as close as the photo above. The photo of Mt. Fuji above seems to have been taken from one of the nearby Five Lakes of Fuji which is depicted below in this photo. However, at first it seemed impossible to get there due to train transportation totaling about 88,000 YEN, or roughly $80 USD just to get there! Mistake #3 R...

Pictures of my wanderings. View thejaidai’s profile on Instagram. The Set Of The Last Samurai Just Got Gory. June 2, 2015. It almost seemed a bit untouched, and really gives you a picture of how the monks lived up there. However, as we trekked up and made it to the above movie set you know as the Last Samurai, I learned a gruesome detail about monks that kind of made it a bit eery for me. We walked right pass a building where monks and/or Samurai committed suicide! Do they really have to go out like that?

Cafeterias in South Korea – dongheekoh

June 20, 2015. Cafeterias in South Korea. If you visit Korea and are walking down any street in Seoul, you may realize that there are so many cafes around you. Those cafes are located at the same streets and often times. These can be foreign or Korean coffee company chains or independent stores. Why Koreans love cafes then? 2 thoughts on “ Hiroshima. June 22, 2015 at 5:45 am. I think the saddest part about Hiroshima was knowing that the things in the museum were actual items and most of the people that had owned these items were dead because of the attack. Everything was broken, burned, or shredded, and I can’t even begin to imagine how horrible it must have been for people to sift through these things to put the museum together. All things Matthew Wallace. We dared to dream. We dared to believe. Thank you. On July 6, 2016. October 2015 will forever be etched in my mind as the day the Zombie Nation finally awoke from its 57year slumber. Threatened, we had over the years, But achieved? We’d always fallen short. But not for this group of players. Years of oppression, sneering and second class citizenship at the hands of the elder statesman of international rugby in Wales were washed away in an instant.
