The Bookworm Confessions: August 2012
http://thebookwormconfessions.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 27, 2012. First day of school. It's one of my last first days of school. Such a strange feeling. I've only been a student for almost 80% of my life, you know? I think the reason first days are so exciting, iconic, important. to us is that they are new beginnings, and as humans we love new beginnings. For instance, today I put on my ring. A ring I haven't worn all summer for a random and insignificant reason. But today when I saw it, I put it back on. Why? Links to this post. Oh, Hey There.

The Bookworm Confessions: When I grow up
http://thebookwormconfessions.blogspot.com/2013/04/when-i-grow-up.html
Tuesday, April 2, 2013. When I grow up. Sometimes as the weight of the rest of my life settles firmly on my shoulders I have to concentrate on breathing calmly and evenly as the sheer magnitude of uncertainty registers in my brain. Everyone reassures me that it's okay to not know what I want to be when I grow up, and yet they don't stop asking the question. My breath quickens. Each day that destination comes closer and my search for an answer becomes more frantic. What do I want? But while this answer su...

The Bookworm Confessions: October 2012
http://thebookwormconfessions.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 17, 2012. When I was young I didn’t read very much. I didn’t need to. I could go anywhere and be anything I wanted. It was only when I got older that I needed books to help me imagine. Although I outgrew the make believe freedom, I don’t think I ever outgrew the desire to do it. Links to this post. Monday, October 8, 2012. Anyone else feel this way sometimes? Links to this post. Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I am currently reading. That gir...

The Bookworm Confessions: To Be
http://thebookwormconfessions.blogspot.com/2013/04/to-be.html
Wednesday, April 3, 2013. The question is not "To be, or not to be." This isn't a question of existence in general, it's what I want that existence to consist of. I recognize that life is something special and every day will come and ask to be lived. Sometimes the question is whispered so quietly I don't hear it as I work on my daily to do list, sometimes it's loud and exciting. I've been compiling my hopes and dreams of becoming. The great thing about this life long endeavor is that I can achieve this a...
