I'm Going Where!?!: August 2011
http://megsinmadagascar.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
My Adventures in Madagascar. Friday, August 19, 2011. My access to the internet right now, and from what I can tell for the rest of my service, is pretty limited so I might be writing several posts before I am able to upload them. To start out, I’m alive and well in Madagascar. I’m in the middle of training and towards the end of my homestay. The family I am living with is great! My mom and dad are farmers and I have a brother and two sisters. They are a lot of fun. I’m not sure if that true though...
I'm Going Where!?!: June 2011
http://megsinmadagascar.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
My Adventures in Madagascar. Thursday, June 23, 2011. I'll Do My Best To Keep This Up. Welcome, or Manahoana. As they say in Malagasy. In general I’m pretty terrible at returning e-mails, keeping journals, etc. but I’m going to do my absolute best to keep this blog updated with my adventures as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Madagascar. The first response I get from most people when I tell them I'm going to Madagascar is either “Where is that? 8221; or “Your going where! From what I understand, I’m par...
I'm Going Where!?!: Waiting out the cyclone
http://megsinmadagascar.blogspot.com/2012/02/waiting-out-cyclone.html
My Adventures in Madagascar. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Waiting out the cyclone. Greetings once again from Madagascar. I realize that I have been terrible about updating my blog and will work on doing better. I’m currently in Manakara because all of us in the Sud-Est were told to leave our sites due to Cyclone Gio. It turned out to be nothing for us down here but I’m taking advantage of being in the bigger city to use the internet and get some planning work done for other projects. I’m also trying...
I'm Going Where!?!: Tonga Soa!
http://megsinmadagascar.blogspot.com/2011/12/tonga-soa.html
My Adventures in Madagascar. Wednesday, December 7, 2011. I apologize for not updating this more often but I’ve been lacking good internet access for a while.or internet access at all for that matter. I’m currently on my way to In-Service Training and am at one of the Peace Corps houses with internet. After. It off for a few weeks of vacation. I’ve been at site for almost three months and in country for almost five. It’s been somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster but overall very good. The site itself i...
I'm Going Where!?!: Updates, Updates, Updates
http://megsinmadagascar.blogspot.com/2012/08/updates-updates-updates.html
My Adventures in Madagascar. Thursday, August 9, 2012. Updates, Updates, Updates. Last time I wrote I was in my banking town waiting out a cyclone that never really hit my area. What did hit the Sud-Est however was heavy, heavy rains about a week after the cyclone warning came through. It rained enough that the river overtopped the banks and Madi and I had to temporarily move out of our house. Teaching in the handicapped school. Kids in front of the malaria mural. http://emilyadamspc.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 2, 2013. I have written a few blog posts that I have never posted. I wonder if maybe I do not post them because I am worried what people will think of me. (This however has been disproved by how comfortable I feel in floral hammer pants and a geometric print top sweating profusely waltzing through town completely aware of a giant hole in the lower portion of my hammer pants pretending not to notice because I am not ready to finish my walk and go back to the office). And just to clarify you ...

Saturday, September 22, 2012. DJ Hannah Montana and the Chocolate Waterfall. It has been a busy few weeks so I haven’t spent much time blogging. So let me break this up into a few parts. Two weeks ago was Ohum Festival, so they celebrated by having a little get together at the Chiefs place. Right before my science lecture I was informed that we were leaving… So I guess science is cancelled today? 8221; ….“Give it to me baby! 8221;…. “Give it to me baby! http://emilyadamspc.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 25, 2012. Anyways, my favorite Ghanaian food I can eat without major modification or feeling like s* * after is beans and gari. They cook white beans (watch out for the rocks though! And top it with a spicy tomato/pepe sauce. Then the sprinkle gari (ground dried cassva? So that is barely a TASTE of my Ghanaian experiences…. Wow the Ghanaian sense of humor would make one very long and interesting blog post I will have to do that someday. Friday, July 20, 2012. Close to district capital.

If you plan on visiting here are the times when I do not have to be teaching. This would be the easiest time to have visitors.
