The way I see it…. February 1, 2015. I took the afternoon of MLK day off to join a couple good friends for some quality time and another trip to the beach. This time a little further south in Capitola. We started with lunch at Gayle’s–a bustling deli and bakery with all sorts of delicious looking options. Lunch was followed by a bakery splurge and some hot chocolate, which we took with us down to the beach where we settled into the sand for some sunshine and conversation. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

The way I see it…. Book Review: The Hiding Place. A bit of beauty →. Book Review: Daring Greatly. March 8, 2015. Let’s start with Brene’s definition of love:. 8220;We cultivate love when we allow our most vulnerable and powerful selves to be deeply seen and known, and when we honor the spiritual connection that grows from that offering with trust, respect, kindness and affection. Love is not something we give or get; it is something we nurture and grow, a connection that can only be cultivated between tw...

The way I see it…. Book Review: The Hiding Place →. February 15, 2015. I took the second of my letterpress classes this week. Our project was a one color broadside print – a few lines of type and a picture. We spent the first night of class selecting and setting type. The next night we finished setting and locked the type up in the press and mixed this pretty green ink:. I’m hoping to take the last two classes by mid summer and then I have all sorts of projects in mind🙂. September 13, 2015 at 9:29 pm.

The way I see it…. England – Bournemouth. October 18, 2015. My last day we stuck around Bournemouth to take advantage of some sunny weather on the coast. I love these colorful little huts that line the beach – especially the ombre effect. And these blue skies can’t be beat (especially after a couple rainy gray days):. We walked along the beach into Bournemouth for lunch and some wandering:. England – A Visit to Bath. October 18, 2015. So now I’ve been to Bath! England – Stonehenge in the Rain. I thought ...

The way I see it…. Playing Tourist →. Book Review: Cry, The Beloved Country. February 1, 2015. My first book of 2015. It was recommended as a favorite and was a good read. The way I see it…. Book Review: Daring Greatly →. Book Review: The Hiding Place. February 21, 2015. This one was a re-read for me and I loved it just as much the second time through. It’s the story of a Christian Dutch family that is part of the underground in Amsterdam during World War II. They were caught and sent to various Nazi labor camps and concentration camps and Corrie lived to tell the story. 8220;I tried to smile, I struggled to raise my hand. I could not.
