I have run out of time to get up my December Barefoot Blogger posts: you will have to wait until a little later in January for some fabulous pudding and sausage stuffed mushrooms. Recipes and reflections on food for nurturing friends and family (or maybe just some good ideas you want try in your own kitchen.). Friday, February 26, 2010. Raspberry Trifle: Anything But Trifling. It should be called "the stupendous", "the abundance" or possibly even "the time-consuming raving beauty". It is certainly the most awe-inspiring dessert I have ever made. The one thing it wasn't was a "trifle". Melinda at Melbourne Larder. Just don't call it a trifle. 300 gm caster sugar. 300 ml pink moscato.

Nigella’s Bread and Milk | Adventures with the Woods
https://adventureswiththewoods.wordpress.com/2009/10/18/nigellas-bread-and-milk
Adventures with the Woods. Fun, food, and other random crap. Nigella’s Bread and Milk. This week’s I Heart Cooking Clubs. Theme is Midnight Sneaks. What qualifies as a Midnight Sneak? Any dish that would make you tiptoe to the kitchen in the middle of the night to chow down. Some people enjoy savory-type snacks at midnight, but I go for the sugary, carb-coma inducing foods. My favorite midnight snack is cereal eaten straight out of the box along with a glass of milk. I. Nigella’s Bread and Milk. Huh Seem...

Adventures with the Woods. Fun, food, and other random crap. Nigella’s Quick Chili. This week’s I Heart Cooking Clubs. Theme is One Pot Wonders. What a perfect time to have such a theme given I had to work all weekend (hence the lateness of my post). I bought. Recently, which is great cookbook. We’ve been having some very unseasonably cool weather here in Kansas, so I decided to make Nigella’s Quick Chili from. It was great to come home from work to an already prepared meal. Thursday, December 31, 2009. A simple little salad. After the feast that was Christmas, simple meals are on the menu for us now. Given the hot weather we've been having, salads are just the ticket. While there's always a place on my table for a basic little green salad, I also like salads with some more interesting ingredients, or those that could double as a light meal with some bread or grilled fish or chicken on the side. Fortunately, the December 2009 issue of. And I are focusing on in our We Made It.

Love is a Well-Stocked Pantry. Leek, Potato and Chicken Soup May 26, 2011. 8212; kitchenery @ 6:14 pm. I used to like chicken soup cooked with onion, potatoes and carrots, just how my mum made it growing up. But when I was on “confinement”, she cooked a variation that was so good that it whipped her other chicken soup’s ass. Potatoes – who doesn’t love them? Chicken – Another essential in my freezer. I like having frozen chicken thighs on hand, as I can use them for soups, stews or stir-fries. You are co...

Love is a Well-Stocked Pantry. Home-made Beancurd June 3, 2011. 8212; kitchenery @ 6:03 pm. I first came across this recipe in Flavours magazine a few years ago and have always wanted to try it out. Before I could, work and baby consumed my life. And now that I have some time on my hand, I decided to give this a go. This recipe is part of an entire tofu feature on Flavours magazine – how soy milk is made, with recipes for various tofu dishes. 1 litre fresh soy milk. 100g spinach leaves, shredded. You are...

http://jamiesgreenkitchen.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. Thanks to Suzie from Munch and Nibble. For forcing me to make my favorite restaurant. Dessert. Whenever I go out and get to choose dessert, I choose creme brulee. The mix of sweet and creamy finishes off a meal with just the right note. So why hadn't I made it before? I have no idea! This was a great recipe that would be perfect for entertaining, because you can make the custard ahead of time and just torch it after dinner. 4 extra-large egg yolks. 3 cups heavy cream. A weekend...

Kitchen Tips | Kitchenery
https://kitchenery.wordpress.com/kitchen-tips
Love is a Well-Stocked Pantry. August 6, 2007. I have fond memories of the Pyrex diningware, popular back in the 80s, that my mother used to serve up her mean home-cooked dishes. I remember lifting the dishes to stare up at the leftover grain of rice, simply fascinated. If I could turn back time, I would have clung onto them for my dear life. Kitchenery’s kitchen tips can’t turn back the clock, but it can definitely help you keep them in “mint” condition, for generations to come. August 7, 2007 at 8:02 am.
