Debbie in London: July 2014
http://musingsandbemusings.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Living the dream. Mainly sunny with a chance of naps. Thursday, July 24, 2014. I'm actually quite impressed with myself how long I have kept reading this book. I often give up after just a couple of chapters if the story isn't grabbing me - this one is just interesting enough to keep me reading, but not enough to make me desperate to find out what happens next. Consequently I've been reading it for about four weeks! Joining in with Ginny's Yarn Along. Thursday, July 24, 2014. Links to this post. Declutte...
Debbie in London: June 2014
http://musingsandbemusings.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Living the dream. Mainly sunny with a chance of naps. Tuesday, June 24, 2014. In the early days of our relationship the Prof and I visited this little church at Bradwell on Sea. It was a a chilly, grey day and we said we would come back one day in nicer weather. So this weekend we packed up a picnic and drove to Bradwell. It's about a half mile walk from the car park - you can just see the church in the distance. Today I was very happy to lie on the grass while he wandered around and took photographs.
Debbie in London: Knitting, reading
http://musingsandbemusings.blogspot.com/2015/03/im-knitting-baby-blanket-my-third-time.html
Living the dream. Mainly sunny with a chance of naps. Wednesday, March 18, 2015. I'm knitting a baby blanket, my third time knitting. It looks quite pretty when it's finished and the lace edging has been sewn on, but knitting the main part is a huge garter stitch square and takes (me) forever. I'm not a very fast knitter! I moved on and I'm now reading and enjoying Station Eleven. The story has a surprisingly gentle feel, though given the post-apocalyptic. Setting I am not sure if that will last! Hello t...
Debbie in London: Serendipity
http://musingsandbemusings.blogspot.com/2015/04/serendipity.html
Living the dream. Mainly sunny with a chance of naps. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. I've wanted a cosy shawl for around the house for a long time, and have also had a couple of balls of James Brett Marble Chunky hanging around for a couple of years. I'm also making an effort this year to use up some of my yarn stash. When I saw this Stitch Sampler Shawl. Last year I took part in the Spring Knit Along on one of my favourite blogs, Crafts From the Cwtch. I made a Miss Winkle. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. I thin...
Debbie in London: January 2015
http://musingsandbemusings.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Living the dream. Mainly sunny with a chance of naps. Friday, January 16, 2015. Knit, purl, sneeze. I'm knitting a cowl for myself. I knitted it flat as I wasn't sure about the length I wanted and I'm still not, so I've stopped while I decide whether to sew the ends together now or knit more so I can wear it doubled. While I'm thinking, I've cast on a Chinese waves. Joining Ginny and friends for Yarn Along. Friday, January 16, 2015. Links to this post. Monday, January 12, 2015. That was the weekend.

Tonight was heavy in conversation. the types of conversations that revolve around what life means to you and what it takes to have a meaningful life. conversation on game changers and life alterers. conversations that could go anywhere. conversations that take two people on opposite ends of everything and bring them closer. And through it all we keep smiling, and laughing, and loving each other.

As a part of my Creative Intensive this month I had to consider my space. Yes, you can write anywhere and I have in bed, sitting at the computer downstairs, at the library, at Panera, in the botanical gardens, but the idea of creating a space with a purpose, where you know writing will happen is something that I didn't really realize I needed. When I am done I hope to have Illuminations done and also my first children's book which I posted a quick glimpse of above. I have found that the less is more ...

The Sticky Mat Files | from student to teacher
The Sticky Mat Files. From student to teacher. January 28, 2011. Rumi stirs between my fingers. Dancing on the edge of the flame on my candle lit tonight. 8220;You are the sky my spirit circles in, the love inside love, the resurrection place. Let this window be your ear. I have lost consciousness many times with longing for your silence, and your life-quickening smile…. You give attention to the smallest matters, my suspicious doubts, and the greatest…. I know these dancers,. But what can stay hidden?
MUSINGS OF A MIXED MEDIA ARTIST
MUSINGS OF A MIXED MEDIA ARTIST. Tuesday, May 12, 2015. JOURNALS.Paying it forward. I started out with a page from a wall paper sample. I then attached the page to a piece of 90 lb watercolor paper that I had messed up with a technique that went haywire. I used 3 colors of paint to do layers using Vaseline for a resist, letting it dry then wiping it between each color.after cutting it in half the lettering was painted on. The tree is made of rigid wrap. The tree book has a poem written by Trish Weaver .

Musings and Art Things
Musings and Art Things. Listen to my art beat. Monday, October 31, 2016. I just finished watching Leonardo DiCaprio's "Before the flood" and I just wonder what is the fucking point of anything? But from this movie. I mean, I think it's great and fucking genius that DiCaprio did this movie, what better way to reach a ton of people than through a movie? Better than music, better than any political channels, a movie is extremely approachable and easy to reach masses with. What do I do? Before or sometimes i...

Musings, and a search for truth
Musings, and a search for truth. Sunday, April 26, 2015. Public Complaints Require Public Apology. The speakers in Church today yielded many insights (i.e: “Just as we aren’t perfect yet, our families aren’t perfect yet, either”). One of those was an answer to my prayers for the day: to forgive. That said, I do not regret my lack of support for the program going forward; I have heard too many others who had experiences too similar to mine to believe that my difficulties were an isolated experience. Living the dream. Mainly sunny with a chance of naps. Thursday, January 11, 2018. I popped out for five minutes in August 2016 and forgot to come back. Things have happened, as they do. We lost our lovely dog Star just over a year ago. I miss her, especially during the day, when I am mostly here on my own. The house seems very empty without her. In October 2016 my brother's baby girl was born and I am loving being an Auntie for the first time. Thursday, January 11, 2018. Links to this post. August: ten, ...

My Musings, Observations and Blessings
My Musings, Observations and Blessings. Monday, February 28, 2011. 11:45 PM Posted by Randy Ross. What a great weekend. Well, I am glad you asked. Several families visited the sister church Sunday morning as a result of the Saturday visits. Wow. So, where do you go from that high? Can it get better? Umm, is God still on the throne? Two were saved in the afternoon service. Ahhh, but we still have to get those bus-loads of kids home. Our ride home was wonderful as well. We had noodles for a snack. ...It wa...
