Musings from French life. Tuesday, December 14, 2010. Monday, December 13, 2010. When I was little and went to a summer camp to study French they told us about all the traditinoal French foods at Christmas. One of those was a cake called a Bûche de Noël. It is like a huge swiss. Musings from French life: So....American

http://www.musingsfromfrenchlife.blogspot.com/2010/12/soamerican.html

Musings from French life. Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Working in a French office environment has been quite interesting. There are a bunch of similarities between American and French workplaces, but there are some interesting perceived differences as well. Another note on the French “work time”. Most salaried people work 40 hours a week while the non-salaried work 35. If you work 40 hour weeks in France? Man America, get with the program. January 27, 2011 at 3:11 AM. Musings from French life: June 2010

http://www.musingsfromfrenchlife.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html

Musings from French life. Friday, June 25, 2010. Fete de la Musique. Ask and you might receive! Thursday, June 24, 2010. D get a map. Also, originally I was planning on staying in the town overnight, just to get the feel of the town, so I looked for a hostel I had found on the internet. I didn't find either, so I walked back to the train station to catch a cab (15euro! Not sure because they didn't seem like the extreme sports types, but who knows. Sunday, June 20, 2010. And then there were. I don't know ...

Musings from French life: new word

http://www.musingsfromfrenchlife.blogspot.com/2010/12/new-word.html

Musings from French life. Monday, December 6, 2010. I think of how often I use the word anyway and I'm sure I'd be saying it a lot too, but it boggles my mind that I have been here 11 months and never picked up on such a popular word before now. Hey, at least I'm still learning something new everyday! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Last Weekend in Clermont. Its beginning to look a lot like. Simple template. Powered by Blogger.

Musings from French life: It's beginning to look a lot like...

http://www.musingsfromfrenchlife.blogspot.com/2010/12/its-beginning-to-look-lot-like.html

Musings from French life. Tuesday, December 7, 2010. It's beginning to look a lot like. It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in France. T. Ees here are all the same and they look a bit like Charlie Brown Christmas trees. There is lots of room for hanging ornaments! There are big trees and little trees, but they pretty much all look the same. Ty decorated. I didn’t say prettily decorated for a reason, but it is there. You know who is still missing though. Sushi comes in many forms the grab n’ go package, the dodgy half price buffet and, of course, the classy over-priced restaurant with the open kitchen so you can admire the chef’s handy work. For those of you diligent followers (much love) and newcomers (why, hello! This is the To-Do list I made at the beginning of summer. I didn’t realize that bucket lists would become oh-so-trendy this year, but it seemed to be a logical tool to accomplish all those New York activities everyone wants to do but never fully commits to their execution. Until now! You can check on my progress here. The 2010 Summer Bucket List (in no particular order of priority):. Walk the Coney Island boardwalk. Try a Pop Bar.

Mount Snow Winter Getaway (Post 2 of 2). March 8, 2011 by get NYC'd. The fine folks at High Country. Set our group up with an hour-long tour. Upon entering their wood cabin right off the slopes, they outfitted us with gloves, boots and helmets before sending us out to claim our vehicles. I grew up riding Sea-Doos and was pleased when each of us got to claim its land counterpart, a Ski-Doo. Each machine was adorned with a rapper name from a budget label maker and I was hooked up with Jay-Z. To my delight,...

musingsfromedge | Thoughts and ideas from one of Scotland's leading textile art communities

August 8, 2015. So …. we’ve spent months working out the best way to show this exhibition and working through all the little cracks and problems en route, but now all that is over. The theme of myths and legends has proved for some an awful hurdle and others had too many great ideas and starting points, it was hard to pin themselves down to a couple of their favourites. The result should ( and is, because I’ve had a sneeky peek at the images sent in) be yet another fascinating show. Hope you can make it.

A little of this, a little of that

A little of this, a little of that. Friday, October 28, 2011. I guess that it is time to finally update my blog. I keep looking at my last post and I tell myself that "tomorrow" I will update. So just in case anybody is still reading this (and they haven't seen all of this stuff on facebook) here is my life in 2011, so far. My last post introduced you all to a most wonderful man, in fact, the best man in the whole world! This same man proposed to me on May 7, 2011 and I said yes! I loved the ring so much!
