Musings from Cleveland-- Sprawled Across the Davenport of Despair
Thursday, August 26, 2010. Just came back here and saw the active comment section. Not sure if anyone cares to tell me why/how this happened? I don't mind, and am rather amused. Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Follow Me on Twitter. I'm not ready to retire the old blog, but I do get on Twitter from time to time.@dmagan. Sunday, December 28, 2008. Hot Damn, 'Cilla. I know that the late Elvis is rather sad, what with the drugs and fried banana sandwiches and all, but it's something I can't turn away from, either.

Dave's a place, not a person, for what it's worth. Saturday, September 9, 2017. Why I love it here. Without further ado, the 2017 Westminster West Community Fair. It starts with a parade. This year's theme: New Beginnings. Each of those little white flags below has the name of a kid born within the last year. A nice counterpart to Brattleboro's Strolling of the Heifers: The Hefting of the Strollers. Those are our elected state officials - our Senator, Jeanette White, and our rep, Mike Mworicki. Inside th...

Musings from Doha | Musings of a Miami girl living in Doha, Qatar
Musings of a Miami girl living in Doha, Qatar. Doha as Character Building. May 10, 2015. By Alex bint Eisa. To those of you who I talk to on a regular basis, and/or read my twitter, you’ll know that I absolutely hate one of my professors. I have also always tended to believe that people tend to behave the way they do because they’ve never been made to do otherwise. Not too long ago I would always cower from confrontation. And though it still makes me super uncomfortable, I’m learning that most ...My most...

Musings From Dot
Participating in the Blogging from A to Z Challenge using a variety of topics. Tuesday, April 30, 2013. I’m a big fan of zebras. I just love seeing the contrast between the white skin and the black stripes, and thinking about how the patterns on zebras are as individual to them as fingerprints are to us. I love to see the alternating stripes of black and white in the hair of their manes. While very striking to look at, I will admit that zebras are a little boring to stitch. The stripes also serve to diss...

Monday, January 25, 2010. Minnesota Vikings Blame George W. Bush For Playoff Loss. Citing his failed response to Katrina, the presence of his father in Saints owner Tom Benson's private booth, as well as the fact that everything else seems to be his fault, the Minnesota Vikings today blamed their overtime NFC Championship loss to the New Orleans Saints on former President George W. Bush. NOTE: Original. Not borrowed from "The Onion.". Thursday, January 21, 2010. The answer is, "Just wait and see." Fo...

musingsfromedge | Thoughts and ideas from one of Scotland's leading textile art communities
August 8, 2015. So …. we’ve spent months working out the best way to show this exhibition and working through all the little cracks and problems en route, but now all that is over. The theme of myths and legends has proved for some an awful hurdle and others had too many great ideas and starting points, it was hard to pin themselves down to a couple of their favourites. The result should ( and is, because I’ve had a sneeky peek at the images sent in) be yet another fascinating show. Hope you can make it.
