Tuesday, August 11, 2015. 2 cups AP flour plus flour for board. 1 Tablespoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1 stick (1/4 cup) butter (real butter not margarine) very cold. RULE #1 DON'T TOUCH THAT ROLLING PIN! Combine dry ingredients. Cut butter into small pieces or grate into flour mix. Cut in using pastry knife until pea sized. Make a well in the center and pour in buttermilk. Using hands, fold flour mix into the buttermilk until just combined or mostly combined. STOP!

Desserts, Goodies, and Candy. Thursday, October 3, 2013. Ethel's Hot water Chocolate Cake. 1 c sour milk. 1 c hot waater. Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Main Dishes -Meats, Fish, and Vegetarian. Saturday, November 24, 2012. Thanksgiving leftover Turkey Enchiladas. About 2 cups of leftover turkey, pulled and shredded. 1 small (4 oz) can green peppers (mild). 1 large (28 oz) can green enchilada sauce. 1 tbsp taco seasoning. Good handful shredded cheese plus more for topping. Flour tortillas about 6. Add green peppers juice and all, about a 1/4 C of the enchilada sauce, the taco seasoning, and cheese and mix together. Serves 2 to 3 Can double or triple.

Main Dishes -Meats, Fish, and Vegetarian. Saturday, February 14, 2015. 8 bone in, skin on chicken thighs. 1 Tbspn smoked paprika. S and P to taste. 3 TBsp buttter, divided. 3 cloves garlic or 1 TBsp jarred chopped garlic. 1 C chicken broth. 1/2 C heavy cream. 1/4 C grated parmesan. Juice of 1 lemon or 2 Tbsp. 1 tsp dried thyme or 3 sprigs fresh chopped. 2 C baby spinach, chopped. Preheat oven to 400ºF. Place in oven and roast until cooked thru reaching internal temp of 175 F. about 30 minutes.

Sunday, October 6, 2013. Chef Tom Wayman's Easy Yeast Muffins. 4 cups self rising flour. 2 cups warm water. In mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast. Add 1 egg, 2/3 cup oil and 2 cups warm water. Mix until well blended. Pour into greased muffin tin. Bake at 450 degrees about 10 minutes or until brown. May be mixed and kept covered in refrigerator up to one week.
