Welcome To My Spice Kitchen: From Remote Svaneti

http://myspicekitchen.blogspot.com/2008/06/from-remote-kingdom-of-svaneti.html

Welcome To My Spice Kitchen. Thursday, June 26, 2008. High in the Caucasus Mountains in northern Georgia lies the isolated province of Svaneti, a place deemed too dangerous for travel. The locals use fenugreek and Aleppo pepper and several other spices for a unique blend that goes well with their beet and cabbage dishes; and potatoes, soups and stews. A chef who purchases the blend from me rubs it on fish for a delicious barbecue. 8730; Terrific on steaks before grilling or broiling. The Spice Man Cometh.

Welcome To My Spice Kitchen: Black or Kala Masala

http://myspicekitchen.blogspot.com/2008/06/black-or-kala-masala.html

Welcome To My Spice Kitchen. Thursday, June 26, 2008. Black or Kala Masala. If you have some fresh ground dried mango (amchur as it is called in India), Turkish. The Spice Man Cometh.

What's cooking today?

Thursday, September 21, 2006. This is again a very easy, quick but tasty dish and is typically south Indian. Carrots - 1 pound/ 1/2 kg. Grated coconut - 1/4 cup (I use the dry shredded coconut for convenience). Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp. Urad dal - 1 tsp. Red chillies - 1. Salt - as per taste (but as carrot is naturally sweet, you might want to use less salt). Oil - 2 tsp. Curry leaves: 1/2 a stem (about 4-5 leaves). Sugar: ¼ tsp – just a hint of sweetness. Posted by wild rose. Tuesday, September 19, 2006.

My Spice Kitchen Thai Curries

My Spice Kitchen Thai Curries. Friday, June 27, 2008. Sweet and a little hot, green curry gets its name from its color, with green Thai peppers infusing the curry with a dark green hue. Our has fresh ground spices, chilies, garlic, shallots, lemongrass, galangal root, shrimp paste, salt, Kaffir lime peel. Seven dollars. Another spicy curry (use less for a milder flavor). If you aren’t cooking, what is your favorite thing to eat? Spice Life’s Menu is:. Cider Brined Turkey with gravy. Cranberry Sauce with Grand Marnier. Granola manufactur...
